Hey guys. I'm looking to have a custom music file of the kraken theme from POTC2 to use in my new design. I know how to get custom music files into the game, but I don't have a clue in hell how to create one. I will give a firm handshake to anyone who can make a file for me (the first 57 seconds is the part I particularly like), or at least explain to me how to make one. Be warned, though, that I don't know shit about computers. Much obliged. zburns999

Anybody? My design is virtually ready to submit. I just really wanted this music file before I did so. Any help would be very much appreciated. zburns999

Hmmm, I seem to be having some trouble here. The download worked fine, and I saved the file as CUSTOM1 and placed it in the data folder, but in-game nothing happens. I tried CUSTOM2 as well, but still nothing. I even deleted all the custom files in my folder. Any ideas? zburns999

But thanks Casimir for the file. It sounds great! Can't wait to get it working.

Awesome, it works. Thanks man. The only thing is that it is very quiet. Is there any way I can get it louder? zburns999

EDIT: Listening to it now without head-phones, I realize that it's really not audible with the game's other noises. I hate to bug you again, casimir, but is there anyway this can be fixed? I will gladly spend the time to do it myself if anybody can tell me how.Edited by zburns999, 06 April 2010 - 09:34 PM.

Casimir, what program did you use to make the file conversion to meet the specific .WAV settings necessary for RCT2? I could probably make a tutorial for custom music, I just need the program to make it complete. I had one that I used to create several custom music files a while ago, but I can't find it anymore. And stansolt, just do a google search to find downloads for those songs. "Hot N Cold" is by Katy Perry and the Six Flags song is called "We Like to Party" by Vengaboys. They are pretty popular songs and should be easy to find. There's instructions in your RCT2 Data folder in a text document called "CUSTOM" that tell you how to make them into custom music.

I've read those instructions, but they basically put me in the same place you are. I have no clue how to turn a song into a wav file that meets the specifications. Unfortunately, when Casimir turned the first file into a wav, the volume went down quite a bit lol. zburns999

I'll turn it up today, but not until the evening. and then I'll write a little tutorial
I use "SUPER" and "Audacity", both freeware programs.

Do I get a cookie too then, when reading your tutorial?
