Ok, I'd like to make a version of the object editor that is more *user friendly*. In order to do such, I need a recource editor. It needs to be one that can edit the layouts and captions of the object editor, as well as seperating it into several dialog boxes. Each with a 'next' and 'back' button for step navigation while making your object.
For Example,
Step one: New/Load object. Click next after complete and you will find the next step.
Step two: Select your object's type, subtype, clearnce, and physical composition. Click next after complete and you will find the next step.
Step three: Draw/Load bitmaps. Click next after complete and you will find the next step. etc, etc, etc.
I already tried the programs from "Heaven Tools". Their "PE Explorer" and "Recource Tuner" trails versions don't recognize the Object Editor's dialog box, thus I can't edit its layout. That's strange, It worked when I translated the GUI Editor (JJ beat me to it). I guess it just doesn't like the object editor.
Can anyone with experiance help me find a program that can do these things? I'd stronly preffer it not being a hex editor. Something more legable please.
BTW, If anyone would like to help with this project your more then welcome. Programs Like the object Editor shouldn't need a tutorial. A better layout (with descritpion) is ultimately better.
Great thanks to anyone who can at least help fixing my problem. I've looked everywhere for a program, still nothing.

the best resource editor is reshack or CFF explorer (I believe it was called like that). but they aren't user friendly. and I doubt what you want can be done with it. to archieve all of your goals you probally need the sourcecode. -
