Ask the Experts / Merging real and fake tarmac

Hi, I'm starting a new park and I'm trying to do something I've never done before. Basically I'm trying to combine a real piece of pathway with MG's tarmac path to give the illusion of a large walkway but only allow peeps to walk where I want them to. The only problem is, you can't set the fake tarmac on the grass and it hovers a little bit over top. My question is, how do I go about placing the fake tarmac on the ground? I've tried zeroing clearances and everything, but I can't seem to get it to work. Any help would be appreciated.

use invisible path/queues then you can have whatever you like as the visible path.Blocks, roof objects, coaster track ,shrubs etc etc etc

I guess a better question is, how do I get the tarmac scenery to sit flat on the ground and not hover above it?

    lower the ground

^Yeah, you have to lower the ground 1 unit, run invisible path over it and then slightly raise the path object up to meet the path. Best way I've found is to change the texture of the ground so you know where to put path, lay the path itself, lower the ground and then add the objects(s). That way you don't end up with invisible path on tiles that you don't want it, but can't see it. It's where the different ground texture is.

Another tip for invisible path is you can use layers at half/quarter height and give the idea what peeps have more free roam of the path. You can also get them to walk on 1/4 tile paths this way permitting you can only see the path from certain views i.e obscured by a building.
