Ask the Experts / 8 cars not making track invisible

I'm currently trying to make the entrance and exit huts for one of my rides invisible. I've used the tutorial I foudn on this side, but when I get to the step to make the track under the huts invisible, 8 cars doesn't make the track invisible. First I thought it was a Windows 7 issue, but I also tried to do it in XP mode and it also didn't work. Is there a problem with the version of 8 cars that I'm using or is it an OS issue. If it's an OS issue, would someone be able to make these huts invisible for me because it's pretty essential for the ride to look realistic if there's no huts. Thanks for any help you can give.

It's an OS issue. I can't help you though, have the same problem.

I'm not sure it would be an OS issue if he's having the problem in XP. The version of 8cars needs to be v1320 (file version 1.3.2.0)

Yeah, that's the version I've been trying to use. I followed the instructions and it says the rides been edited but it doesn't turn invisible. I'm not sure what the problem is.

You're picking the right ride right?

What kind of virtual XP are you using?

Yer sure you changed the ride operating mode?

This might sound very stupid. But you could try to run 8 cars in admin mode.

I currently only have one ride other than the dummy track so it'd be hard for me not to pick the right ride. I am using Windows 7 built in XP mode. Do I also have to change the operating mode to haunted house or something as well? Because I've only been pushing the make invisible check mark and nothing has worked.

Are you selecting the color scheme? If you haven't 'painted' the dummy to alternative1 (or 2, 3) just select main. But you have to select a color scheme.

I picked main color scheme each time I tried.

does the trainer all other things like its supposed to do?
for example does troggle chain work? (that one is the one I'm most intrested in)

I'm not sure...If I was to send the park to someone, would you be able to make the huts invisible for this ride. I really don't plan on making any of my other huts invisible, it's just really needed for this ride to look decent. I'm kinda at a standstill with my park because I need to get this accomplished before I can move on.

Hi, I've been having the same issue running on Windows XP. Been trying to figure it out for a while now, only thing I can think of is having a bad DLL of 8cars, that or maybe it's my no cd crack. I dunno, hope someone can at least point me to the correct DLL for 8cars 1.32. Thanks
