Theme Park Discussion / Universal studios is lame

Ok so today I went to the newest Universal Studios theme park in Singapore. I am not that impressed with everything that has happened so far.

Firstly upon arrival I was immediately saddened by the fact that Battlestar Galatctica was closed, both sides, for nor logical reason, all I was told that it was testing despite previously having been risen by many people, not once all day did I see a single train go through the track, not one.

Secondly the food is outrageously overpriced, my brother paid $10.50 for chicken and rice, the chicken was not properly cooked, it took him 15 mins to get served and re seated and the rice was cold. Luckily I never get hungry at theme parks.

Thirdly it was raining 50% of the day, one would expect indoor rides to stay open, such as the mummy, a ride which is fully enclosed, but no. Every indoor rides except the merry go round, which had no one on it stayed upon, at the mummy rides all you were allowed to do was get photos with people and statues.

Finally, me and my brother both purchased a fast pass to skip the days q's as it was pretty crowded, we paid $30 to be told you can use it once per ride, this was never mentioned when we were looking at the ticket prices online.

I think that's it, overall the day was good, despite these few negative factors. Honestly if I hadn't already purchased a two day pass online I definitely would not be going back again in a hurry.

Universal is not all it's Cracked up to be.

So do I! :D They seriously have the most delicious food I've ever eaten at any theme park. Phantasialand has really nice food prices in the area around Black Mamba as well. Don't remember what I got but I remember it was really tasty, it filled me and my friend up, and both of us were like "wow wtf, that was really good even though it was so cheap".

WOW sounds like your trip to Universal Studios Singapure really wasn't all that good. What was your favorite ride?

I've been to singapore and some surrounding countries. My favorite part was riding to malaysia on a creaky wooden boat..

But universal studios in california was great for me. I loved every aspect of the park. From the real humans disguised as a mummy scenery piece at the exit of the mummy roller coaster who surprises the shit out of you as you walk by. All rides were open and there weren't that many crowds. I only waited around 4 minutes in the single riders line and possibly 10 minutes for the jurassic boat ride.

A little research would've informed you that the ride has been closed for several months now due to technical difficulties with the trains.

Secondly the food is outrageously overpriced, my brother paid $10.50 for chicken and rice, the chicken was not properly cooked, it took him 15 mins to get served and re seated and the rice was cold. Luckily I never get hungry at theme parks.

Any major theme park chain is going to have expensive food, you can't say one specific park sucks when nearly all of them do the same thing.

The park is in Singapore. It's going to rain in Singapore.

Now that I can't comment on.

I wasnt saying the park sucked just that certain aspects of it brang the experience down.
I wasnt complaining about rain, i was complaining about the fact that the mummy, which is indoors was closed due to rain, like seriously how does that work?

Calm down nin, i still like Universal.

Write a letter to their guest relations department to let them know about your dissatisfaction and see what they say.

If operations were really that horrible across the board, chances are you could get some type of refund or something out of it.
