I really want to go to that park and ride Starry Sky Ripper. It looks amazing.

The POV is great, really lovin' that fly to lie into the vertical loop. They did it again, even when you think theyre fading away, B&M comes back with this and XRaptor and blows everyone away.

I know the guy who filmed this.Such a damn sweet coaster, makes me proud to live in switzerland
  • tdub96%s's Photo
    ^its in China, btw.
  • nin%s's Photo
yeah, but B&M is based in Switzerland.

Seems like this changed many of the 'rules' people had set in place for building these things; excited to see what results from it.
  • tdub96%s's Photo
Ooooooh yes, I know that nin. I guess i interpreted it as he thought the ride was located in Switzerland. My mistake.

    happy someone posted this.

an inline twist revolving into a fly to lie diving into a loop... then a double corkscrew? when i first saw this line up of elements a few months ago i felt like i had shaken baby syndrome. looking forward to b&m's future releases

Wow, that is amazing. I definately foresee some more zany flyer layouts popping up in RCT in the near future.

It's good to finally see B&M step out of their comfort zone.

LOL @ JDP. I agree with metro. Some hacking... err, lots of hacking would be used to get a layout like this, but then, we're New Element, we know how to hack like that. But then we get a beast flying coaster.
  • F0ndue%s's Photo
As long as it keeps em away from copying SLCs.Ewwwww.
  • BelgianGuy%s's Photo
Actually reading JDP's post this makes me realise the layout is actually closer to a vekoma dutchman than a "standard" B&M flyer, it is cool though that this will indeed give us some variation concerning these types... next maybe they'll build a long dive coaster^^

RCDB has it under the name of Sky Scrapper... Did they change the name before the opening? Because I do recall the work Starry being in there.
  • tdub96%s's Photo
^Yea it used to be called "Starry Night ______" or something like that...

    QFT!

Though I find most new B&Ms to be as good as their oldies, just with more trim brakes. Unfortunately the parks always opt to use said brakes because they apparently hate having their rides appear in people's favorites lists (they'll give you some excuse about maintenance costs or something, which is legit from a business stand point, but seriously, if you spent 25 million on a brand new B&M hyper wouldn't you want it to win some polls or something?).

Without Tatsu or this thing in my ridden resume I can still say I prefer Vecoma's Flying Dutchman rides to B&Ms Flyers despite the fact that the beemers are clearly blessed with superior engineering. The layouts just haven't been daring enough. I really really really want a cobra roll (that you start out on your back) on a flyer, and I don't want it to suck because some engineer got by with a B+ in physics. Therefore I want B&M to do it. (^_^) XRaptor doesn't look like anything special honestly, but I'll reserves judgement until I see what it does with those seating positions. If it's just the new seating configuration I don't get what the big deal is. Arrow did it first, and from what I can tell, has been the only one's to really tap into the potential it brings.
