Related Games / Just screwing around with this old peice of garbage...

This entire month I was completley bored out of my skull, so I decided to go play RCT3 and screw around. So I loaded up an old peice of crap (indiana funland) and decided to go with my original plans with the park. I originally had no plans to post it here. But In the end, I was shocked to see how decent it came out. I know you probably won't like it at all, but it can't hurt to show you. So lets continue with the story.

So where did we leave off. Ok, the last time I posted in my Indiana Funland topic, I added final closure to the story by saying that It was going through economic turmoil and that a supercell was headed right to the area. So in all respective purposes, the park was doomed, nothing could save it. But the park survived and it went up for sale. Now, no one knew wether a new park company would buy it or would it all be sold for scrap.

    But then, in 1991....

    Indiana Funland became........

    SIX FLAGS Indiana Wonderworld

Now...it's 2002. Let's see how this now-Six Flags park had developed.

Well, here is a full shot aerial of the entire park peremiter.

This is a picture of Batman: Night Flight. The coaster was built in 1991 and was B&M's very first "sitdown" model. It carved the way for a new era of looping roller coaster. It was the first roller coaster to ever have a "Zero-G-Roll" element and the first complete-circut coaster to have a Cobra Roll. It was an instant hit and brought Indiana Funland back from the abyss.

This is Mr.Freeze, a Vekoma boomerang coaster that was built in 1992.

After 1992, coaster fans had to wait four years for them to build another coaster. In 1996, The Hawk opened. To my knowledge, It is the very first non-Batman B&M Invert to be built in a Six Flags park. It was very well recieved by coaster critics when it first opened. Some coaster-enthusiasts call it the "Alpengiest of the Midwest"

1997 brought forth an unthemed kiddy area called Kiddy Forest. Strange that it didn't pick up the Looney Tunes theme like at other Six Flags parks. Nevertheless, it's still a fun place for kids.

In 1999, Six Flags made a very odd choice by recruiting Vekoma AGAIN to build a second inverted coaster! To this day, I don't really understand why there would be a B&M invert and a Vekoma SLC in the same park. Either way, it was built and called the "Mind Eraser" after the SLC's in Elitch Gardens, SFA, Darien Lake, and SFNE. Strangely enough, I think SFIW has the best Mind Eraser. (Kentucky Kingdom's T2 is the absolute worst btw)

In 2000, SFIW got some Intamin love! The Top Fuel Racer is a Suspended Impulse Coaster similar to Vertical Velocity in SFGAM and SFSC. Its layout may be incredibly simple, but it can still give you one hell of a thrill!

And here it is, the new ride for 2002! Inferno. This is a B&M Stand-Up coaster that has 5 inversions (4 if you don't count the inclined loop) It was a massive hit when it opened and it keeps the guests rolling in! Granted, its no Chang or Riddler's Revenge (which is B&M's magnum opus when it comes to standups)

And now to look at some of the non coaster rides. In 1998, the park got rid of the aging Eyerly Roll-o-Plane "Twist and Shout" and replaced it with a critically-acclaimed Mondial Top Scan.

This is the ride that took the place of the ferris wheel that was unfortunatly destroyed during the storms of 1989. It is a Huss Double Skywheel called Tornado (I'm aware of the Irony and it was intentional)

So....what do you think? Not that I expect it to be held in high regard.....

You really manage to capture how shit RCT3 truely is. Whilst this is partly due to your skill, it is mainly because of RCT3 itself. Had this been in RCT2 it really wouldn't be such a bad park.

I have to agree with Louis here. I dont believe its partly to do with your skill though but the game being so "sims" like. It would have definitely been better in rct2 as stated. The layouts are bad too imo. I dont know if you can do better or weather its just the unattractiveness of rct3 but theire seriously ugly. The park layout is too square and flat and youve used the same fence throughout.

I also agree. Why don't you try out rct2, it is much funner than RCT3, and the peeps don't creep me out.
  • fraroc%s's Photo
Yeah, I can't wait until someone comes out with some serious mods for RCT3 to make track peices. Because I hate how the drop looks on the invert. And whenever I build a Beemer it will always will be the Extended Coaster.

While I dont really care for any of those screens, I can tell you had fun building this and that is what is most important. I will say Infernos layout doesnt look that bad
  • Austin55%s's Photo
I dont get why you even have rct3 on here. You're mutch better off at a place like tpr where people actually care about this crappy game.
  • chorkiel%s's Photo
Could be just me, but this won't even look better in rct2.
I'm not sure what makes you guys think that but it would probably look even worse..

    Keep on having fun ;)

I didn't say it would look good or be better, I just said it wouldn't he such a bad park :p
  • mardy%s's Photo
As Sad before, try out rct 2!
If you had fun building this park, that's the most important thing.
    Good luck!

Yeah go to TPR. They actually enjoy rct3 for whatever reason....

    sigh...
  • inVersed%s's Photo
Hey guys, idk what your talking about but I really enjoy RCT3 done right... i.e. Six Flags South Carolina and Burj Oasis
  • Louis!%s's Photo
No matter how well RCT3 is done, layouts always look awful, as proven by Six Flags South Carolina, a great RCT3 park, with awful awful coasters due to RCT3 itself, not the skill of the gamer.

I completely disagree...Have you not seen my RCT3 work? ;)
