Rivers of Babylon. Is there any need to say anything more? Possibly RCT2's most famous park, Rivers of Babylon is pure greatness. sacoasterfreak has brought the community much joy with this beautiful, atmospheric piece of work and it rightly sits as the #1 RCT2 Park. If you haven't ever viewed this park before, you've missed out, if you have, view it again! Incredible.
by Kumba
Back in 2007 NE was held at the reigns by Kumba. The dictatorship had it's high and low points, but this was definately a high. In May of 2007 Kumba awarded his own park with Spotlight, and no one disagreed with it (except maybe Posix), but even Posix knows quality when he sees it, and Dimensions: Realms of Creation is just that, quality. One of the most creative, and most hacked, parks RCT2 has seen, D:RC is a must see. Congrats Kumba on creating a #2 park.
by Xophe
Xophe's comeback was perhaps the greatest comeback NE has seen. Zippo's Wacky World of Wonders hit the front page in 2009, grabbing the highest scoring park of the time. As the name suggests, the park is indeed full of wonder, and wackiness, with unique themes and brilliant ideas. This park is full of amazement and genius and grabs our #3 spot. -

Well, there should be no controversy with this top 3, right?
For the record, I did not have DRC in my top 3, infact NONE of the parks in my top 3 made it...
Thanks for the #2 on DRC. I worked very hard on it and am glad it see it was not forgotten all these years later -

Heh, like Kumba, none of these three would've been in my Top 3, although ROB would be close, and the others are probably in my Top 10-15. It definitely shows the quality of work we have here though when there's an infinite amount of Top 3s available from members. -

Rivers of Babylon: sometimes, when I haven't look at the park for months, I wonder whether Rivers of Babylon is still one of the greatest RCT2 parks of all time as many, myself included, make it out to be. Is it really better than recent gems like Dreamport and Europa Park World Showcase, or is it a collective lie we and we don't want to submit to a new reality. But then I open the park in game, like I did a few days ago to take screens for the History of NE topic, and I realise it truly is one of the best park. It's so amazingly well made. It's incredible and definately worthy of the top 3. And worthy of being my wallpaper on my two monitors. Now I can gaze at Eversio Lemuria and Kuxan Suum's station area all day.
Dimensions: I have to be in the right mood to really appreciate this, but when I am, this park is the shit. So much to see. I've seen everything already so I rarely look at this park anymore but that doesn't change anything about all the fun I've had to explore this park for hours.
Zippo's: my personal #1. There's so much to love in here. It's not as beautiful and flowing as Rivers of Babylon, but scores higher on all other aspects. Great rides, great architecture, great details, great original themes, GREAT atmosphere, GREAT landscaping, greatness all over the place. The park is fun in it's purest form and a classical example of a feelgood park. It's the best feelgood park around by miles. I'll never forget inflated rubber and fish food. Zippo's is hot. -

I still hold Dreamport to be my number 1. However, these three parks are rightly deserving. -

i think dimensions will always be my number 1. it blew my mind when i entered the community and that's not a feeling you can easily shake. -

I would not have any of those in my top 3.
1. Isole Calabria
2. Islands Of Enchantment
3. The Masterpiece
Those were the 3 that influenced me the most throughout my Rct'ing years. -

What's your top 3? Roman Vice probably in there? -

the actuallity remains that no park will ever be the greatest RCT2 park, period but I respect the choices made as they are indeed extremely wellmade parks -

Hell no haha I don't have a clue what my top 3 is and no Roman Vice is definitely not in there...
My favorite parks of all time are Rift Valley, Escalante River Falls, Rocky Mountain Mystique, and a few others -

Rivers of Babylon is the clear choice for the best RCT2 park on this site in my opinion. Nothing has come close to it in terms of atmosphere and believability and really, the whole package, too. I look at that map even still and can't comprehend how SA did it. Maybe it has to do with the time that I joined, so maybe it makes me somewhat biased, but I don't think it could ever be topped. It's a classic, and we owe it for giving us parks like Isole Calabria and others in similar vein.
I would have personally liked to see Six Flags Santa Fe in third place, as I think its a much better "current" park than Zippo's (even if Zippos did start a new string of great parks to follow it), and has shown how far we've come since. Watkins Woods is another, since I see it as a cornerstone of some other great realistic parks in recent years. -

My personal top would be;
Europa world showcase - Six Frags
Legacies Theme Park - Liampie
Zippo's - Xophe
EWS, because it was the first themed park I had ever seen and therefore it has a place in my heart.
Legacies because I have watched it so many times and I still love it.
And Zippo's because it was one of the first spotlights I have ever seen while searchin in the database by score. And I just loved it.
This top 1 and 2 wouldn't make it because I just don't feel that sense of nostalgia because I didn't play rct in that time but I have to agree, those parks are great. -

#1 RoB
Looking at its influence in the history of NE it is the only park that can be #1, even though I agree over the years there have been other great parks, that use more refined techiques & newer influences. But to me it is more about the influence of the park in the time it was released and I do not think there is any other park coming close to RoB.
Apart from that I do not agree with the idea of the top 3. It appears impossible to me to select two parks for the #2 and #3 spot without robbing someone else of a legitimate spot on the list. -

this.
Although I think one of the newer parks, like dreamport of sfsf should also be represented.
Good choices though, I definitely love all of those parks. -

Personally, I'd go:
1. Six Flags Santa Fe
2. Rivers of Babylon
3. Either Zippos or DRC for all the little things in there. -

There should be an X-coaster park in there somewhere .... still a nice list.
Personally BOMB is still very high in my list also.
And Rocky Mountain Mystique is also very high in my list. -
