Ask the Experts / Can't install game.

A few weeks ago the computer's hard drive crashed with no warning at all. We got the computer back about 2 weeks ago and I tried to install RCT2 again, but when installing I got a message that said something like "Component Transfer Error". I clicked OK, then it just stopped installing.

Google is your friend. A quick search yielded a series of posts by Rohn Starr at the Atari forums that explained why a 'Compnent Transfer Error' might occur.
Are there any obvious scratches on the disk? It's possible that damage to the data surface could have corrupted the data inside one of the CABs (or their CRC hashes, which would be the case if the error message also mentioned a cyclic redundancy check) that hold the game files.
That, or your disk drive isn't working properly.
