    Dear readers,

The park that you are gonna see was started around the same time as Super G started with his park "De Ganzenburg".
There are already 4 updates posted on a website, wich doesn't support RCT anymore, so I will post the first 4 updates right behind each other. :)

It's a little timeline park and the owner of my park is related to the owner of "De Ganzenburg".
The character M. Arkant in Super G's story is the husband of my sister. The stories will cross-over now and then, so don't be suprised. ;)

Enough small talk, here we go! :D

Well hello there! My name is Harry Vermoud and I'm the director of a successful themepark, located in the north of France. I'm excited to show you the realization of this great company! But let me begin at the start...

As a child, I've always lived in the big city. We lived with the family in a small house in one of the newer suburbs. We were with five at home and had to share everything. Once I was 19 and got my schooldiploma, I started working in the steel industry. There in Rotterdam (Netherlands), I met my wife. After a few years we were married and had a son.

Meanwhile I worked myself up in the company and was given the management position. I couldn't get more promotion in this company. I had no more challenges and was depressed. But then it happened: there was a management job available in a factory, somewhere in the north of France!

My wife and I moved over to France in 1988, because I accepted the job in the steel processing factory. Here I feel at home: a beautiful landscape, a beautiful house and a wonderful job (I'm now director of the factory)!

You can reach the factory by car...

...but by train is also one of the options.

The train station is located in front of the entrance gate of the factory.

    The station has 2 platforms.

Underneath the platforms you can find a subway.

If you leave the railroad station at the front, it's just a matter of crossing the roads.

    Dear readers,

It's the year 1992. The company is growing and that you can see! As a director I had to create various departments and contracted more than 100 people! There is a second hall built and a parking garage for our employees. There are many people from the neighboring town and villages, but they won't use the train...

About the parking garage has been hassle, the building is located beside the land of a farmer. This farmer has charged us because there could be some damage to his crops. It has something to do with not enough sunlight or so...

The husband of my sister called about a carousel by the way. He currently runs a playground with a restaurant. It's called "De Ganzenburg". I took a look at the ironwork of the machine and advised to buy the carousel. It will do his playground pretty well!

Here some pictures of the new features in and around the factory:

The second hall is in use.

    Dear readers,

As you could read in the previous update, the farmer and my company had a small tiff. This was luckily resolved quickly. We had offered the farmer a playground, including an expansion of his parking lot for any visitors.

That same month we've got a special job to do, we had to transform steel tubes into rollercoaster track! Well, you don't see that every day at your company! :D

    The photos:

The playground has a zip line, slide, climbing frame, swinging walking beam and three 'bouncing chickens' (Dutch: wipkippen).

    Dear readers,

This was in the newspaper this morning. Don't worry, everything will be fine. ;)

    Ilus Inc. declared bankrupt

Everybody could see this coming, but it is really so far.
Steel company Ilus Inc, in the northern French Étaples, was this morning finally declared bankrupt.

    By Ria Portera

PARIS - The French National Court declared Ilus Inc. bankrupt. The company was one of the largest employers in the province.
In this largest steel plant in northern France 450 people lose their jobs.
The loss-making company (annual revenues of FR 400 million) was already late September deferral.

The problems started two years ago, when the standards for emissions of heavy metals and dioxins were repeatedly exceeded.
The province put Ilus Inc. subject to increased surveillance and threatened to close the plant if it does not comply with the environmental and safety would keep.
In order to remain within the standards, the factory was at 60 percent of its capacity.
CEO Harry Vermoud this week in NCR Magazine du Commerce:

"This took the overall efficiency of the company down, and we were no longer profitable."

Another major problem is that a Spanish competitor offers steel (products) at a cheaper price on the French market.
Ilus Inc. lost between 1992 and 1994 about 30 percent market share to the Spaniards.

The probability that Ilus Inc. by an acquisition can make a restart is small,
told the French newspaper PQC this morning, based on documents of the Ministry of Economic Affairs.
Former minister Nes Aisrien has always said that he would do his best to maintain the 450 jobs.
According to the PQC not much is expected from the efforts of the Ministry.

The administrator said last week that there is serious interest in the acquisition of Ilus Inc.
Also director Vermoud suggested last week that there are many candidates for acquisition of the steelworks.
Last night the news channel France24 reported that a government takeover couldn't be possible without the need to pay for cleaning the sulphidic fluids wich lie in the plant.
Possibly a problem of millions of Franks.

That's it for now, I hope to see you next time!

    That playground is quite good.

The platform of the train station feels nice as well, although the front could use work. It seems either too flat or not detailed enough.
  • Kumba%s's Photo
The playground is indeed great. I would say the same about the rest, but it's not ten years ago...

Also why the peep objects rather than real peeps?

I don't think he got the message Faas.

This is looking quite nice. However most of it doesn't make sense. Why would there be an enormous trainstation including an underground metro next to a factory that stand in the middle of nowhere. What the hell would a farmer want to do with a playground?
  • MEGAMINDY%s's Photo
If your name could seriously be H.Vermout. that would be unbelievably funny :D/>/> lol

I think its somewhat unrealistic btw. NS trains dont actually ride.
  • chorkiel%s's Photo
I personally think it's a little weird that there is such a big train station near that factory when there are only two platforms and it's probably only used by the workers of that factory.

You would easily win the case against the farmer as you probably had to get a permission to build that parking garage. He would have no say in that case.

Your parking garage is pretty damn far from the plant btw. Are there bikes to help your peeps to the factory or do they have to walk that far every day.

I'm not really surprised by your company going bankrupt as well. Why would you plant a factory so far out of a city. Imagine how much it would cost you to pay all the traveling costs of your employees. They won't do that themselves, they'll find another job.

Rct-wise it looks like an interesting start.
  • Super G%s's Photo
Hey there Legolord, I think you have a really nice concept over here, just what everyone says it's a weird location for a factory. I hope you'll update fast!
