In all of it's glory, Goliath looks like a bit of a disappointment, I mean for being the tallest, fastest, and steepest woodie, it Doesn't even seem to exceed 3500 feet. Don't get me wrong, Goliath looks marvelous.

Medusa appears to be the more interesting of the duo, RMC did a great job reworking the old layout and that first drop is... Amazing.

*cue the wave of Rct built RMCs*

Goliath looks like RMC let a 13-year-old sit in front of their computers and build the most ridiculous thing he could think of.

Well, RMC is like the most awesomest company ever.

rmc is terrible at making their own layouts

the only times they look good is when its renovating a layout they didnt originally come up with

Tallest, fastest, most inverting, steepest wooden coaster.

    Your move, Cedar Point.

    everyone gets an rmc!

am I the only one who really prefers the look of their retracked rides? I've never ridden any rmcs, but they look nicer, have more interesting elements, and are longer, more diverse, etc. Their custom ones, while I'm sure are amazing, always seem very short and gimmicky. Like at SDC, the whole point is pretty much the double barrel roll. And at sfgam, the whole point is 'dive loop'. At what point do random inversions on woodies stop being interesting and start being like every steel coaster thats been made in the last 25 years? they're onto a good thing but I feel like they're ruining it by just going all-out. now I may be wrong about this all, as I've never been on any, but it really feels to me like their custom layouts have very little thought put into them other than the gimmick. Always sort of standard layouts (out and back, figure eight, whatever) with elements thrown in just so they can count it on a fact sheet for an advertisement. with gci, you can't really give a name for each part of the ride, but every twist and hill, interaction, etc adds up to a great ride experience.

for me, medusa looks like the standout ride out of this bunch. freaking awesome drop, and not built around a gimmick- it follows the natural flow of a wooden coaster with extra excitement from the hyper-banking and airtime hills

It is well past time for the Mean Streak to get a serious makeover! I would love to see something like this happen to the Mean Streak!

Although I have to say, if goliaths 'floater barrel roll' or whatever they call it actually works like that, it could be sick

Go ride Outlaw Run and then be ashamed for what you just said here.

I honestly think Goliath looks way better than Medusa in every way except length. Yeah the smiler first drop is cool but steep drops on woodies are amazing.
