Kinda interesting, thankfully no one was hurt.  I don't see what could have started the fire though.

Pretty sure they have been using some sort of fire based tool to remove certain parts of the track.

I think they fucked up and basically set the whole thing alight lol

What if the whole thing is planned and they are just pulling another publicity stunt that will unveil what actually goes in place of the lift. Like a launch?....

RMC is tricky, but it could just be SFMM being greedy and doing it on purpose so they can file an insurance claim to pay for their new coaster.

They've already unvieled the layout though.

My dad is a firefighter and said he was jealous, these are the most "fun" types of fires. No one is in danger, but it's still something tricky to get to.

I considered that this could be a publicity stunt, but with the layout having been released, it wouldn't make sense. If the park had prepared it then why not wait till after the stunt to release a layout. It wouldn't make sense from a money standpoint to pay for two layouts and two sets of layout graphics and simulations.

Also, they wouldn't have been legally allowed to do a burn like this without getting an extensive permit from the local or even state government, particularly with the potential it could get out of hand and either collapse or light the entire ride on fire. That kind of permit and legislation would have been found by someone, i think.

Most plausible this is an accident related to prep for its redesign, like Louis said. Only thing that really makes sense.

I was just saying that it's been done before with Goliath's lift hill structure, where it wasn't fully released until much further down the road. We'll just have to wait and see what SFMM has to say.
