OfflineHey guys, I just got a laptop that runs windows 8.1 and am working on getting RCT back up and running and I went to start 8cars for the first time and it told me "you may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item" and then my Norton automatically does a scan on it and says its unsafe and deletes it. Just kind of wondering how I can access 8cars as I'm very new to windows 8.1. Any help is appreciated. thanks guys. love you all. -Josh

OfflineAccording to Microsoft's support website(http://support.micro....com/kb/2669244) it is because your antivirus is blocking 8cars. Temporarily shut down Norton and try running it to see if Norton is causing the problem. If Norton is the problem I would also remove Norton and get another antivrus.

Offlinei'll check that out. which one do you recommend? sorry my main pc I use to play RCT isn't connected to the internet and I have a MacBook for my primary laptop needs. Also... where the hell are the screenshots saved too? some reason I can't find them. I know on windows vista you had to click compatibility files to find them but i'm not sure where they are on here. I don't like having to manually search the screen names to find them. -Josh

OfflineI think they go to Pictures in 8.1, not sure so don't quote me, it's been awhile since I took a screenshot.

OfflineTo run trainers on 8.1 you need to change the compatibility, go to properties, compatibility, and select Windows XP service pack 2. If you are still having trouble with your anti-virus I think you can go into the anti virus setting and select programs for the antivirus to ignore, but I am not 100% sure if Norton has that feature.
