RCT Discussion / OpenRCT multiplayer servers

I was thinking of making an OpenRCT multiplayer server for NE. The workbench could be something easy to digest such as the PT2 bench.

 

I'm currently running a test:

 

name: /r/rctmodz

 

password: doomed

Why wouldn't you make the name NE related if it's for NE?

I've been playing with OpenRCT for a few days now and I'd like to try the multiplayer thing. PT2 bench sounds good. How does it work? How can I join now?

just click on multiplayer and select the server name, from there on you should type in the password

It's not in the list of servers.

It wont let me connect, probably because its P2P?

Are the serves just supposed to show up when you click multiplayer, or do you need to search for them?  I was able to search for servers with the names you guys posted, but I couldn't connect to them.  Not sure If I'm just doing this wrong or what.

Same here I see like a red dot on the right hand side. Must be its not active or something. Do you think the "owner" has to be on when you go on it?

Servers seem to be working. Joined a few filled with a bunch of noobs though.
