nicman, we generally deal with two kinds of images at NE. Either your image is RCT-related, in which case you probably want to use the Add Screenshot tool, or it isn't, in which case we recommend using any of the various free image hosts out there. Imgur, Tinypic, ImgBB, etc. Upload your image, copy the BBcode share link, and paste it in your post.The reason we do this is because NE doesn't want to pay for hosting thousands of images, but we do want to make sure RCT-related images can be saved forever. If you browse old threads you might find some image links are broken because free image hosts like imageshack take down files after some time or just vanish altogether. So to make sure RCT-related stuff can be saved we have the ability to upload screens directly the NE database; for everything else, please use an external host.

I tried using a link from a google drive shared image before, but the site said 'You cannot use that type of image extension' even though I tried using .png and .jpg.
