Theme Park Discussion / Gröna Lund builds semi-realistic B&M Inverted

  • Liampie%s's Photo

No looping, strange collection of spins, underground station and a mid-brake drop. It's a shame really, Lagom's recreation will now be panned by the more hardcore realism panelists. Good thing JDP is not around anymore because he would kill himself if he saw this. The realm of realism has been compromised! Also, imagine the amount of safety nets this park will need to prevent it from becoming an all out fantasy park... Lagom will hit the object limit early for sure now.

    Wants to build

I don't think anything here is that unusual, other than the fact it is an inverted an not a flyer, which is what I thought when first seeing the layout.

Not till 2020 though, which is unusual than an announcement would come this early. Lots of time in-between then and now for things to change, which wouldn't be surprising.

This may be my favorite Liam post since the Log Flume layer thread.

Omg as if Grona couldn't get anymore crazy. Are they on a quest to take Cedar Point's coaster count? Gorgeous colour too, hope it actually is that colour, and is that a Junior Immelmann like on Black Mamba? looks to be with the massive tilt to it!

It's not really an announcement. They submitted the design for planning permission and therefore the plans went public, or something similar.

Right, this is still massively early for a leak. I wouldn't be surprised if this changes between now and then just based on how far off it all is.

    I bet it'll have 9 cars too

How would that transfer track work?

lol I know it's a joke but I'm actually predicting less than 8... too bad it'll probably have the dumb new Banshee style trains.

Yeah i also thought it looked like a good flyer layout

Its probably inside and after the dip in the break run, or before the lift.  Kind of like the new Hypers and Gigas from B&M.

4/10 the second-to-last barrel roll is built in the wrong polarity

Don't expect any of it to change. Especially if it is to do with actual plans submitted to local authority, Europe is extremely different to the US when it comes to this, you guys just have coasters that spring up all of a sudden before anyone even knew there was going to be one, here it is different.

Also, with the little space that Grona actually has to build this, 2020 is a reasonable deadline considering how tight it is going to be to construct this.

That's just crazy. Gröna Lund is becoming one of those unrealistic parks that you built when you were younger - with roller coasters everywhere. Can't wait to see this being built.
