Ok, I installed RCT successfully when I got XP last time, but we had MAJOR problems with our XP, so we had to uninstall and buy a new one. I reinstalled rct for windows, because I didn't think we were going to buy a new XP because my parents hate it. However, I was wrong. We got XP Home Edition, and of course, RCT doesn't work. I've tried installing it over and over and over, but I really don't know what I'm doing wrong, cause I'm doing it the same way I did last time, but I'm having the same problem that I did too....whenever I try to start the game from any source, especially the start menu, I get an error trapper. Also, when I was installing the game, it went to updating the registry, it said it wasn't able to...so rct might not function properly. Plus, I tried to patch the game with the RCT-LL patch from rct.com...and that didn't work either. It said..'Unable to patch rct- wrong game version, wrong language, or game files are corrupt.'

What the fuck does this mean..and can someone PLEASE help me again?

Maybe one of these problems..

1. Make sure you are using the right patch for the right rct cd..
2. Install the first rct then CF then LL to make sure.

I don't have CF...I have the 2in1 expansion....and I do install rct1 first.

Ok, anyway....

First...


[*]First Uuninstall the WHOLE game.


[*]Then install the 'First CD [Original]'.


[*]After that, ONLY install LL.


[*]When you are finished, DO NOT open anything [Saved Game, Game itself].

Alright.


[*]Go http://www.atarisupp...ownloads_pc.asp and downloaded the patch.

Then.....


[*]Go http://www.rollercoa...dex.php?patches and downloaded the other patch.

Right on......


[*]First install the "RCT-US.exe".

Next......


[*]Install the "US English - V1.08.187 ".

Blah blah blah.....when its done, it should say Successful or whateva.

Now open the game and have fun .

Well fuck. Now I can't even install the original. It says it 'can't setup registry entries.' I have no fucking idea what that means. Please help me.

Did you deleted any data by mistake??

I might've but I have no idea, however, that shouldn't be a problem because that was the message I got before...and it still worked after a while.

Hm, maybe try inserting the original CD again, let it run until the box comes out, click uninstall.
