Ask the Experts / SC4/SC6 Repair Utility?

Is there a utility to repair and open broken SC4/SC6 files? I've looked through the utilities list here (updated just today) and there are sv4/sv6 repair utilities. I did try these, just in case they had an option to select a scenario, but no dice. I have a scenario now that I would like to play, but it would be nice to have in general since I download an obscene number of parks collecting objects.

I did not see anything and I know that list is somewhat exhaustive, but just in case I missed a utility or a function, I thought I'd ask.

A trick I have done - and I hold my breath when I do it - is to manually change the "SC" to "SV" and this has worked on some files, but in this case opening as a saved file - either as an SC or an SV closes the program.

Why do you think your files need to be repaired?

They will not open. They either return me to the main menu or close the program entirely. Repaired might not be the right word in every case as it could be use of trainers or other utilities that I'm not running at the time. It could also be (rarely, I think) issues with objects. In the case of preventing a file to open, it could be a corrupt object. There is a utility to repair these objects in SV files, but it does not recognize SC files.

I am going to try the old RCT Explorer and see if I have luck with that.

Are you trying to open parks from NE?  If so you have the drexler patch installed?  It's needed to open most custom parks.

The particular park is one from RCTGO. I have downloaded and opened every* park here at NE as well as RCT-World, RCT-Space, etc. So SV4, SV6, and even the couple of SV7 I'm usually able to open them. I have the Drexler Patch in my utilities folder.

New Element has done a really good job of collecting and offering older utilities. But I've found a few things around that have either been missed or (most likely) no included for good reasons. When I run into a park that I have to get open, I'll mess with those and figure out which key works. *But there are parks that have been downloaded on "bulk days" that have not yet been open because they got lost in the pile of ~7000 parks.

My biggest issue now with older parks is missing or corrupt objects. I have a tool that works on the SVs for this but not on the SCs. I don't see much difference really from the game's perspective since SC files can be open as saved games. But the only thing I know about coding is how to spell it. LOL.
