Let's have a discussion! What do we want to see next?

 

I'm personally craving another contest and am curious as to what people want.

 

I'd love to see a pro tour type of format as discussed on discord.  I've also seen Micro Madness pop up in conversation too, but I don't prefer it, but that's just me.

Grand Tour. Ready for some action

Give me a super chill NCSO/LL contest where I can build with my friends. Give my washed up ass a Micro Madness and I will eat my own limbs

Flash contest, or something speedbuild-y..

Might be a stretch, but something interesting to see would be a contest where each player has to build in a workbench they've never built with before. Like the dkso people having to learn cso, and vise versa.

 

Or something a bit more flexible...build a theme that's never been done before on NE. Ex: has anyone made a cheesecube park?

I definitely think we need something longer form. We had NEDC so far this year which historically has been the smaller of two contest in any of its given years.

I'm sharing an idea I had last summer for a contest while watching the Olympics :

 

I was thinking about a new contest on NE taking place between two H2H, I don't know what the NE Olympic contest looked like, but I had the idea of a contest in an Olympic spirit :

 

-5 or 6 teams, 10 members per team

 

-When a player signs up for the contest, he must announce at least 2 categories in which he could build

 

-Draft Selection

 

-Each captain must create a fictional country with a flag (optional ofc)

 

-5 categories, the most chosen park wins the gold medal (5 points), the second the silver medal (3 points) and the last the bronze medal (1 point)

 

-2 builders per category, builders can only compete in one category, so it’s important to choose your team wisely by taking the best in each category

 

-2 rankings at the end:  

• Ranking by points (collective victory)
• Olympic champions in each category (victory by pair)

 

-Each team announces its builders in the different categories one week after the start of the contest.

 

-3 voting options here: 

• a classic public vote 
• a vote by the members of the same category (the builders in the Micro Park category each give their podium in the Micro Park category, you can't vote for your own park ofc)

 

-The 5 categories, the best of the best :

 

Realism Park

Fantasy Park

Design 

Micro Park

NCSO/LL park

 

It's a contest that allows everyone to shine and feel involved, some are more talented or have a preference for one of the 5 categories. It's also less tiring than a H2H contest, as each builder will only be working on 1 park.

I definitely think we need something longer form. We had NEDC so far this year which historically has been the smaller of two contest in any of its given years.

Nice to see this starting here for a change instead of Discord.

 

I'd love something original but I'm also game for another big competition. I agreed NEDC doesn't feel as grand as the big three so it would be nice to have a 'big-big' contest of some sorts.

I would like to see a new contest. I may be more heavily focused on music soon so I don't know if I'll be able to participate but I think it would be a good time for something different.

 

Just make sure to start it at least in mid-October so it doesn't interfere with the building challenges.

I liked Grand Tour best and would like to see it again.

I think out of everything, that's the one I don't want to see, haha. I think its time for a new format or an update of an older format that we haven't seen in a while

A tour of some kind would be neat. I'm still shilling the Eras Tour where each round is a different style or game.
