Busch Gardens has offically announce the latest park in its chain: Busch Gardens Sant Crùz. This park, once completed will be one of the most competitve West Coasts parks around along with Six Flags Magic Mountain and Knott's Berry Farm. Just as another new Busch Gardens park being built( ;) ) this one will not feature themes from one Continent. There will be 7 themes in the park including a themed entrance Plaza:

?? Plaza -- This entrance plaza will take guests on a trip to the old Mines of the 1920's when all you needed was a hard hat and a pick ax to be successful. It will obviously feature all of the normal ammenities of a any Busch Gardens entrance.

San Pedro Missionary -- Of course, this park being located in Southern California, there is great Mexican influence. For that reason, this amazing themed section will be the largest in the park. It will take the guests ona trip into this legendary Mexican Missionary with amazing theming and atmosphere. There is a a planned coaster or should we say coasters ;) for this area. But Busch Gardens isnt saying anything...

Lindisfarne -- For the fearless guest there will be this amazing Viking section themed to the many myths and stories of ancient Norse beliefs. Such legends as Thor, Loki and the Berserker. No Rollercoatsers have been planned for this section as of yet.

Montego Bay -- Take a trip on the Motego Bay Chairlift and enter this Jamaican Paradise Island. This section of the park will feature beautiful carribean shrubbery and FREE Beach access to all guests. Two attractions have already been planned and constructed for this section: An Arrow Launched Floorless Suspended Rollerocatser which is tentatively named Waverunner and an amazing outdoor water show brought to guests from Seadoo...

New England Logging Co. -- This versatile section of the park will be a recreation of the amazing logging factories of the late 1800's. Located in freezing New England, the guests will be in for an intersting ride. Only one ride has been planned for this section: An Intamin Log Flume named Log Jam which will wind its way around a factory and encounter a sticky situation...

Arabian Bazaar(Name Subject to Change) -- This booming Arabian Marketplace will not only feature great shops and breathetaking theming but also a worldclass B&M Inverted Rollercoaster diving and inverting right in the streets of the Market!

it looks very good, altho i think the coaster has some color issues (v. nice custom supports btw) and the glass doesn't fit in very well. but other than that its looking good.

The park looks very good. I would like to see a zoomed out shot of Waverunner. By the way, not to be picky, but Santa Cruz is in Northern Cal. as Turtle said. I live in SF which is only about 70 minutes away.

Last time I checked the foliage of Northern Costal California it didn't include pine trees, yeah.

    Anyways, with that aside...

The park is nice but there are places where improvement can be made.

First off. Your architecture, for now the 2x2 stuff is fine but if you want to progress in the parkmaking world your going to have to add a bit more twee to your buildings. In the Waverunner section I don't know if it is the coaster that doesn't fit or the theme. Right now it seems like its a pirate tropical type theme and the name 'Waverunn' doesn't fit the theme, so, either change the theme, or change the coaster name. I recommend changing the coaster name for your sake.

The entrance is nice, maybe not as massive as I hoped but it will suffice. Once again try to move on from the 2x2 architecture.

Once again the tree selection in the tropical area is wack, man. No pine trees there, but its your choice if you want your park to be illogical, it is a game afterall.

    ++++++

    Random thoughts:
    The coaster looks nice.
    The stadium looks nice.
    Colors are good.
Don't get discouraged by my comments.
    Keep working.

none of the names in the park are final at all. really they mean nothing right now. i do agree with you about the name i just wanted to put something there instead of Suspended Coaster 1.

Yes, its nice looking and everything, but my problem with it is the lack of atmosphere. From what little I can see, your entrance architecture/landscape and the tropical island architecture/landscape isnt all that different. Color variety is always good, but really try to limit yourself just a bit more. Pick a selection of colors and textures and assign them to each section, with each section's colors/textures contrasting pleasantly. Not only does this add a great deal of atmosphere to your work, but you can also easily tell what area of the park you are in. I am not saying you have to do it to the extent that I did in Euroscape (I limited my colors/textures per section WAY too much and as a result made the park very repetative), but try and do it some.

But then again, I havent seen too many screens from very many different sections, so my atmosphere judging is fairly biased at this point.

    Some small tips:

    - It looks like you have the potential to overload this park with jagged rocks (Another big mistake of mine in Euroscape). Be sure to add in plenty of flat land as well (When I say 'flat', I dont necissarily mean FLAT, just not jagged............ if that made any sense)

    - Lay low on the tropical shrubbery in the island section. Add in some deciduous shrubbery (regular woodsy bushes/shrubs) to tone down the exageration of the theme some. Trust me, it will look MUCH better if you do it correctly.

    - If that water show is sponsored by Sea Doo, you had better be sure you have jet skis and water jumps featured. It would be slightly more creative that way anyways.

Have you been to Santa Cruz? the whole coast side is freakin pine trees!

Again I have to ask, have you been to Santa Cruz? The whole coastline is very "vertical" large rocks shooting off into other rocks, years of erosion has created a very jagged place.

I like what you have so far, the Waverunner ride is looking good and is quite different from the norm. I also would suggest takeing it easy with the jungle type themeing, Santa Cruz is not like that at all, and i don't think that would last too long there. Can't wait to see more.

I'm going to Santa Cruz Wed. What a coincidence.

I dont really think it matters if the park looks like its location. Santa Cruz is just a title, right?

We are talking pure asthetics here, nothing else. Well, I at least am talking pure asthetics............

So lets do a beach and sun park in Antartica.....

If it's Santa Cruz...ya gotta do something with the unbelievable (yet true) mascot of the University of California at Santa Cruz....the lovely Banana Slug!!!! Go Slugs!!!

The screens look good, but it doesn't really fit the Busch Gardens label. It's too brown and tan to be Busch Gardens. A bit too much of the pine tree too, even if Santa Cruz does have a lot of pine. I just think you've overused that tree. Try the Monterey tree (can't remember the exact name).
