Do you like his music and if so , what is your favorite song?

    Mine is "Devil in disguise"
Not to meantion I can play the song well on guitar. Atleast the parts that have guitar in it.

Dunno , it just has that cool beat to it that I like in music.
I happen to be quite the Elvis fan, but I don't know why. :!!:

No I don't like his music at all, but I have a huge amount of respect for him, for being such a huge influenece and paving the road for rock and roll.

Hmm - probably either Kentucky Rain or In The Ghetto. They're both wonderful Pop songs, and, um, that's wonderful. But its past what most people consider his peak (which is captured in its entirety on Sunrise, and more-or-less in its entirety in The Complete Sun Sessions - which suprisingly, isn't as complete as it claims).

Although - he didn't really pave the way for Rock music, it was beyond inevitable. Rock was going to happen - it was just a matter of when, where and by whom.

And no - Elvis was not the 'whom' - and Sun was not the 'where' - but we won't get into that.

To be completely frank - Elvis was just at the right place, at the right time, and succeeded in becoming a massive star. He, through his career choices (moving to Hollywood - and then Vegas, being one of the more noteworthy ones), his lifestyle choices, and more, turned himself into a legend.

But really - he wasn't amazing. He wasn't an amazing vocalist, he wasn't an amazing performer and he certainly wasn't an amazing musician or songwriter (considering both were always done by other people).

He was just an amazing star. An amazing star, whose only truly amazing trait is their stardom. God, we have way too many of those, don't we?

Hopefully, they won't all wind up becomming as legendary as Elvis.

Same here, I wouldn't listen to his stuff by choice, but I have the utmost respect for him for his contribution to the world of music (same goes for Madonna, and Neil Diamond)

I don't like his music at all even though i've tried to listen to it many times just because he's so famous. Never could really get a taste for it I guess. His movies were pretty bad too, but I think he had potential in that area.
