(Archive) Advertising District / Singapore

This is new park I am working on. It is set in Singapore. It seems like a theme that I could do perfectly. I am working on the resort which is about halfway complete. It will include a recreation of the Raffles Hotel which still has to be made.

Here is a part of the resort that I have finished.



I know it is not the best but everything shall turn out nice soon enough.

No, it isn't the best. But it is really nice for a n00b (kidding, my things compared to you are like I'm a n00b and you are a 4x spotlight winner or something) And the house are detailed. Even if the screens not compltetly not finished jet (I purpose) ís it a very good start.

Looks good. That color selection has been done a lot though... It's starting to get a little old, but there are no real faults in the archiceture itself.

Kraken, are you the same Kracken as the one at TN or a different one???

anyway i think this is very good too. You have layered really well and the use of 1/4 tiles/roofs is just awesome. keep this up, and you could go places...

It looks nice. Although, I'm getting tired of seeing all this custom scenery now.

Twist.. (I mean Kraken). I think you are proving yourself as a quality parkmaker from your screens. You just have to concentrate on one thing at a time and finish some parks now.

As for custom scenery, I wonder if you'd be complaining if all the stuff in the screen had been included with RCT2?

thats very good twist...um...kraken...very nice work! id say that atleast 90% of that scenery is custom scenery...u use it well! great job! cant wait to see more!

It's brilliant, Kraken. To be honest I really didn't like the first screens you showed of atlantis or your mini park but this is brilliant, your attention to detail is amazing. I can tell some of the club parks will be good....

who cares if its custom scenery it looks awesome.

I like the theme, the colours and the building well done.

It was originally going to be a disney park but I changed my mind. I'll try and make sure this one gets finished. Just as long as 20 other people do the same thing. (hint: Atlantis)

I'm sad to hear you dropped the Atlantis park actually.

On one level I hate you for giving up that atlantis park - could you at least release what you had so I can see it?!

On the other (more important) level, I love you for basing this park on Singapore! It's one of my favourite countries (many of my parks are based on/named after it too) and i'm really looking forward to seeing Raffles in RCT!

What you have there looks very funky.

I hope you're going to put in some things like the Merlion, or Haw Par Villa, or just some small hawker restaurants!

This is great there is so much detail i had to stare at it for about 10 mins taking it all in but yes toons right please finish this.

Mantis - Is it just me, or od we have a lot of things in common?

Just to clear thing up a bit, Atlantis has been stopped.. for now at least. I will be waiting until this whole Atlantis thing calms down a bit. I might make it a group park with RCTX or I will ask someone to help me out with it.

This park will have a lot of recreations and alot of things based on things in Singapore.

Some things to expect are:

Merlion Statue
Areas based on Haw Par Villa
Raffles Hotel

and more

You know the '7 levels of hell' thing at Haw Par Villa? I nearly fainted in there! I've never fainted in my life, but I think the combination of the heat, blood and lack of food nearly made me collapse lol. I was only about 8

Damn I really want to go back...last time we went to Tioman Island too, but now my mum has had an argument with her brother (who still lives there) and we can't stay with them or visit them or anything...I wanna go to the Night Safari+Sentosa+eat at the hawker restaurants...

And, creepily enough, I actually bought RCT when it first came out in the Funam store in Singapore! It was only about £5 cos the prices were so cheap.

I'm getting all nostalgic
