Music Forum / Rage or Audioslave?

Even though I think the Audioslave album is pure quality, I gotta vote for Rage. To me, there one of the most influential bands ever and they wrote album after album of truely great music. I cant name a bad song by them or one that I dont like.

You should probably have it be Soundgarden vs Audioslave - for the sake of accuracy. Sure, Audioslave has more Rage members than it does Soundgarden members - but the entire album sounds like Rage doing Soundgarden covers and sticking as close to the originals as humanly possible.

Although, I think Rage is better. But, Soundgarden is better than them both. Anywho...

Rage's first album is genius, every song is likeable, all killer no filler, however BOLA is crap, EE is pretty good and Renegades has its moments. Audioslave I dig, just not as much as Rage...(or Primus)

Yeah I know what you mean, its just that alot of people compare Rage and Audioslave most of the time and I just wanted to see what you guys thought.

Hmm...

Rage is better, and probably always will be. The lyrics were awesome, Zack was a great vocalist, and Morello is easily one of the top guitarists of our generation, if not of all time. With Audioslave, not only did Tom tone down the awesome guitarwork, as a whole the band seems to have less of the intensity as it used to as Rage. I think that if you give this band a few albums, and Chris Cornell gels in with the rest of the group, Audioslave will be easily an awesome band...but I think they'll always fall a little bit short of Rage.

And Soundgarden was good too...but I'd put them in the middle of Rage and Audioslave. Just, you know, to be against the majority.
