Right, so I asked to borrow my friend's mum's copy of Amnesiac. It turns out that it has all this random shit on it, as well as missing out some tracks.

    The tracks it has on:

    Packt Like Sardines...
    Pyramid Song
    I Might Be Wrong
    Knives Out
    Morning Bell (amnesiac)
Dollars And Cents (weird live recording)
    Like Spinning Plates
    Life In A Glasshouse

so it's missing You And Whose Army/Push Pulk/Hunting Bears

I've identified one of the random tracks as Last Flowers Till Hospital, an unreleased track from the OK Computer sessions. Now there are some other ones that sound like radiohead, but I can't find out what they are on the net:

    1. weird insect noises in background "another waste of time to hear them telling lies, to be there drunk with wine until my spirit dies, ooooh, come to me, release me, i don't know where to go, anywhere would do, a place where i'll be found, where I don't have to kill time, oooh, release me, let me be" to me this doesn't sound too radiohead-like, but hey the voice sounds like Thom Yorke. So i have no idea what the fuck it is.

    2. There's some random 'Technotronique' thing too, which basically sounds like some DJ has remixed radiohead. I have no idea where it's from. I searched for it on google and it came up with winamp playlists with it on, but i've looked on the fan sites and can't find it mentioned anywhere. Maybe it's a bootleg or something?

    3. There's one labelled as "They're All Fake" and, again, i've searched and it's been found on peoples' playlists, but again the fan sites don't mention it. Weird.

    4. "Alligators in New York Sewers" which apparently was "Performed by Radiohead's Thom Yorke as an encore at the Old Roman Amphitheatre in Caesaria, Israel, on July 9, 2000. "This is a new song you've never heard before called Alligators In New York Sewers and it's kind of a silly song..."" So yeah. I have no idea why it's on this CD. It has loads of clapping and shit. Apparently it's the original live version of the song that's on the Knives Out single, called 'fog'.

    5. This freaky shit called "The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins" sung by Leonard Nimoy, which apparently is distributed on kazaa etc as being by Radiohead. Lmao.

So yes. This is one of the strangest cds i've seen. Really all I want to know is:

Are Technotronique/They're All Fake actual radiohead tracks? Were they released on other EPs/B-Sides, or other peoples' albums completely?

What is the track I posted the lyrics to called? What's it from?

    So yeah. Thanks.

    Wow, that is strange.

I did a little research but I could find nothing about any version of Amnesiac with those additions/ommisions. My only guess is that the CD you borrowed was thrown together by your friend or his/her mum and burned and labeled as Amnesiac. Or it could have been offered as such on a file swapping service. Was it a CDR or does it actually look like the commercially produced disc with the original graphics?

*embarrased* I meant 'copy' as in 'copy of a cd', like a CD-R. Sorry for the mix-up. Basically, he has jumbled all these things together - I was just trying to work out what they were.
I have a recording of Amnesiac on cassette which has the proper tracks etc. It's just that this CD i borrowed is some weird collection of d/led tracks...some are repeated, some are unidentified. That's why I was trying to work out what the tracks were - they obviously weren't from any of the main albums.

I'd like the real Radiohead albums, but they cost £17 at the moment, which is outrageous even by British standards :-/

    Hmmmm....weird.

I have at least 3 CDs of radiohead I made myself, pulled from the net and slopped together. I tried to follow an order of the way they were listed at http://greenplastic.com, a very nice radiohead fan site, as they damn well know what they are talking about. I'll listen to my CDs and see if recognize the 1-2 you still have ??? on, but also, look at that site...especially the lyrics section, as it lists all of the songs they've done there.

Let me know if you have any specific questions.

    Kai :yup:

Sounds cool.. have you checked ok computer b-sides because i know some of them were hinting at their kid a style.

You may want to check http://www.atease.com as well...their Radiohead index is honkin' huge, man.

And I have a fair amount of Radiohead b-sides, and I don't recognize any of the tracks you're quoting, though the 'Alligators in New York Sewers' is in fact 'Fog' from the Knives Out single. But if I recognize anything later on, I'll let you know.
