Here's the download for my second ever park, Green Grove Amusement Park. It's a 100x100 park themed to some kind of old-style amusement park.

I comment more fully once i get a look at it. From the screen i can say that this looks very promissing. The architecture reminds me of the stuff in Corkscrewed's hi-rollers entry. Meaning it is absolutly PERFECT for a classic-style amusement park.

I would download this park, but sadly, Freewebs connection speed is an abysmal 2K/second. I don't have 20 minutes to download a park. Can someone host this thing?
  • Janus%s's Photo
Is it that slow? That'd explain why almost no one commented.
    Could someone please host this?

I uploaded it on my space - hopefully it's faster. I changed the link in your original post too. Hope it helps.

    I liked this park.

The coasters were, to say the least, poor. But, the colours, the atmosphere, even the features were all good.
I would imagine looking at this park as if it was night time, I think thats because of the darker yet bold colours, and the lights. My faviorate part of the park was the part where a lift hill and a drop were side by side with lights going over it.

You need to improve, yet you have a nice atmosphere going.

Thanks, you looked at the park the same way I do!

Yes, I know the coasters are really really bad, everyone please ignore them^_^

I tried to focus on the architecture rather than on the rides, but the coasters are way too slow and boring. I promise I will do a lot better in my next park.

I like the park a lot. It has a great classic amusement park atmosphere. I love the use of lights. it really captures the feel of a classic amusement park.

I liked the buildings a lot, and the colours were perhaps the best part. It's a shame the coasters were like that (especially the two woodies side by side) but I guess you've recognised that so you can do them better in your next project. But I can't criticise the architecture because it was detailed, refined and largely beautiful.

    Nice trees too.

    Good work :)

I could've swore that i'd stepped back in time to the early 20s when coasters didn't normally have proper restaints and there-by didn't go very fast. The atomosphere was perfect and i love those cool little lights. You architecture is very impressive and the tree selection wasn't half-bad.

    Very nice, very classy. Sweetness.

Theming and Landscaping: landscaping was above average. Which was great. I like the atmosphere of the park. Instantly without reading anything about this I knew your theme. Well executed. Your buildings were fantastic too. Great architecture.

Coasters: Good on probably the only reverser coaster in RCT2. The woodies well, since you said they were bad I'm to be brutally honest with you, they all were not that good except for the reverser. Old coasters in the twenties and thirties were insane like the Crystal Beach Cyclone, The Cyclone, The Zip, Aeroplane Coaster (I think thats the name). They were definitely NOT tame. Try to copy other peoples coasters and then you'll get better at them.

You have fanastic potential. Keep at it. Looking forward to your next park.

Hello, I'm sorry for bumping this very old and very dead thread, but I'm wondering if anyone happens to have this park saved somewhere, and if so, if they could please send it to me. I'm guessing no one has it, but it's worth a try. There is still a chance I can retrieve it from my old computer, but getting it this way would save me a lot of time and headache. Thank you!

Actually, I have the park. I got it from somebody when talking about old theme parks on AIM. I was quite shocked to learn that your debut park was a realistic style and had to see it for myself. I'll PM you the park file, but if there's a readme, I don't have it.

    Thank you very much!
