w00t!!! Shrek 2!!! The original rocked, and I'm sure this one will too.

Puss. That's classic.

I think some studios take things too far. Many movies shouldn't have had sequels, and I'm not sure if shrek is one of them. Jurrassic Park was a great movie, but should have been left alone after that. Same goes for Men In Black. Great movie, but the second one was horrible. Too many studio's try to cash in by creating 'less than perfect' sequels. I think unverisal is taking a large risk with this one.

I'll d/l the trailer, but I largely agree with Nate...
My expectations going into this will be astronomical. If it succeeds, i'll be elated. If it doesn't, i'll be bitter.

I also agree with Nate, but their is always the other side too. Most people see an awesome movie and beg for a sequal and they give it to us. Most of the time they come out half ass but you can't blame the people who made it. People want to see a sequal and they don't want to wait.

Well Jurassic Park had another book which was a sequal to the original book, and both books were good. However had the director taken both of the movies more from the books, it might have turned out better. It definately didn't need a third installment though.

When I get cable, I'll look at the trailer. Until then, I have nothing to say but...

Both books were great, but with the movies, the second one was not to the same calliber as the first.

Shrek 2...

Sounds like a good idea. I don't know why theyd make a 2nd one, prob some greedy bastard who was like the first one made money, lets make another movie to get more money...

My expectations are very high.

BTW why is the trailer taking 2 hrs to load!? I give up after 3 hrs.

A friend of mine from college is doing some of the product design for the licensing dept. for Shrek 2 (she does a lot of stuff like this for Dreamworks) and she's had the privelege of seeing a large chunk of the film. She said it's as good as the first one. So, there ya go.

Hardly. I didn't work on it. I was just stating that from what I've heard, the new film should be just as good as the first

I thought Toy Story 2 was better than the first. That trailer is very good, and i am sure the sequal will be great! I really liked Shreq 3-D as well.

I remember a couple weeks back giving away Shrek 2 Preview CD roms. I snagged 2 or so, it also shows previews of "Shark Slayer" a new movie coming out like a PG-13 version of Nemo sorta, same fishy concept with Will Smith, Robert Dinero(sp?), Jack Black etc...


The disc I have in my hand states Shrek 2 is a follow up, to the first odviously but also takes place along the lines of the Shrek 4D attraction. Which sounds cool

Close... it's actually just Meet the Parents, Shrek Style. Personally, I think it looks hilarious.
