General Chat / PS2 DVD shit

I recently bought a PS2 from my friend cause mine broke.

When i tried to play a DVD, the screen came up that said i couldn't watch it cause of parental controls. (my friend set the control to 1 as a joke) However, my friend forgot the password and i can't watch any DVDs.

In the instruction manual, it gave me a code to override the password, "7444". I put this password in and nothing happened. Has this happened to anyone and does anyone know how to fix it?

Give em your ps2, tell em you bought it from one of their locations on a family vacation out of state, and it came without the dvd thing working.

they actually did it for free and now the DVD player works. I have no idea what they did, but thanks.
