General Chat / Nokia N-Gage

Whats going on with this thing. It's getting very mixed reviews. Some people are stating its awesome, while some are stating its a piece of shit. I find it a pretty cool console, not only playing pretty decent games, but having great sound quality, capable of playing mp3's, and it also is a phone (which really interests me.) I myself don't have a phone, nor an mp3 player, so if I get this I can benefit from all 3 of those things. In my opinion it looks really cool, it has a slick design. The problem is though it's so damn pricey... the price is 300 dollars now... it use to be 500, which is insane. I was at store yesterday where I found it for 200, and I thought that was pretty cool, it also snapped me into this little world of thinking of to get an N-Cage or not. Another problem I'm facing is the service... wonder how much that goes for.


Anyways, anyone have this, wan't to put in a little imput?


Also, I'm thinking of getting a Nokia Side Kick instead.

Just got a new phone. Nothing fancy or expensive, though. Samsung SGH-x427. It was free with the plan.

I managed to get the Nokia 3560 free. I like it, the bowling game is addicting/fun. My highest score is a 258.

I think it's a complete and utter waste of time and money. It's a mobile phone, used to make phone calls with. Who really wants a games, & an MP3 player aswell - it's just gonna waste important battery power. I see it as just another hi-tech toy for people with more money than me to flash around...

Hey, a game system/phone/MP3 is a cool idea, if done right.

Nokia took a crappy game system with crappy games and mixed it with a crappy MP3 player and a crappy looking phone.(imagine holding the N-gage to your ear)

I got a trial week of it cause i have connections and it was complete crap. Don't waste your money. The sidekick's cool though, but mostly cause of AIM instant messaging. (best if you live in US, though). But the plans for the companion are expensive.

Basically, N-Gage=crap
Sidekick=pretty cool

Two things that sum up the NGage.

1. You have to hold it sideways up to your ear when on the phone. It looks like you don't know how to use a phone. Who wants to look like a complete fool?

2. Sales Figures.
