Now that the invisible track hack has been found there are bound to be many questions. Discuss them here.

    Many questions? Let me start:

How do you make invisable track (both "trackless" rides and "floating")?

I've wanted to know this for a while...

Kumba and Phatage- Your in no risk of getting any competition over your hacks so how about sharing the love?

Ride6, this is a hack toontowner came up with in discussion. (who told phatage) Kumba has been using a primitive (limited) technique.

For the record, I never told phatage how to do this (don't know if he found it somewhere or figured it out himself) There is another peep in question who used it in an upcoming release who I told. I cannot take credit for discovering the hack, but did know about it long before most. It is easy tho, just change the track type using 8-cars to food stall (that's the one I use at least). There are some limitations and problems with the hack so this topic is for discussion.

Ja227 (the guy who made the 8-cars trainer) made a topic about how to make invisible track a while ago at rct2.com. It was never much of a secret, even I knew about it before Phatage's PT entry.

Just to let everybody know, the game will crash if you change the track to a shop/stall or unanimated flat if the track you are changing has any of the following:

-any new elements implemented into the game after the very first rct w/o any add on packs excluding 4d track that is programmed to rotate the train
    -diagonal track
    -vertical track
-the large radius turns used to get diagonal track
-probably others that I haven't experimented with yet

Another note, you should change the track back to an actual track before doing editing on the track and/or coaster for again the game will crash. If your game crashes when setting the track to a stall of some sort, I would reccommend using crooked house as it has usually worked for everything with exception to the exceptions. I would also suggest hiding the entrances somewhere like in a building so it isn't left out in the open.

I just tried to change the track type of a steeplechase to invisible, it worked but now theres no horses and it seems to treat it like a stall now, like no test only open/close... can anyone help!!!??
  • Kumba%s's Photo
use crooked house, when you change it.

Thanks Kumba, got it working now...

make sure the ride is testing when you change the track type. Then you can change the track and it will still be going.
