I just bought 2 of their albums. I love their music.

What do you guys think about them?

They are a worthless piece of shit.
They do pseudo-gothic chart music. I hate all goths. Either real ones or wannabes, I don't mind.
Their music is utterly cheap and all songs sound the same. Then, there's Ville Valo, or however he's spelled. No voice and no good looks as everyone claims.
They can just go straight to hell. They'd probably even want that, hah.

thats how i feel on all these one hit wonder rock stars like spunge and just plain shouting and screaming.

Ok... "theforceofg2003" HIM dont scream and shout. Quite the opposite and they are no way one hit wonders. They've released 4 albums, all quality might I add IMO.

I couldn't stand "Jump on Demand." Gah! Trashy pop interpratation of ska.

In terms of Irish punk, Flogging Molly has nothing on the Dropkick Murphys. NOTHING. Shamrock'n'roll forever.

HIM is becoming popular thanks to Bam and his wonderful show so all you HIM fans...suck it.

Right, here we go...

Firstly, let me say outright that, generally, i don't like "punk" music. I like HIM. In my opinion, they are both musically talented, and the lead singer has a relatively good voice. That is not to say that i listen to HIM a lot. On the contrary. I have downloaded a couple of songs, that's all. But what i have heard, i have liked.

Don't say that HIM are like "all the other bands that just scream and shout". If you would bother to look past the gothic front that they put on, (which i really don't see the point of...), and listen properly to the music, some of it is wonderful.

Mantis, i recommend downloading "Right Here In My Arms" and "Burried Alive By Love".

And of course, "The Sacrement".

"Beyond Redemption" is a great song. You should also listen to "The Path", another HIM marvel.
