The earlier screens looks pretty nice, but they're so shallow. There's no meaning to it. To me it looks like a bunch of random scenery thrown togheter to create something that looks good but nothing more.
I personally don't like the style, but as I said, it's looking pretty good if you only go by the first impression.

The new screens looks a bit more organized, but it's still a bit messy. The 1*2 in the corner of the first screen for example. It's a pile of scenery thrown together in a pretty random way. Sure, it's detailed, but it's just that.
The bridge looks OK, I like the sides of it but not the whole overhang.

I'm gonna do my best not make it look like "Fooz rip off", but could you John explain or atleast point out where i had useless or messy "detail". Hehe! :)

The first screenshot - I don't like the different decorative fences and lattice work. They stick out too much mainly because of color, and partly because they make the structure look more busy than it needs to be. Sticking to one fence type around the foliage and paths would unify things. I think the building would look alot better without all the decorative fences. I also don't like the red balcony supports, they jump out too much. It's really just sorting out the colors, the textures, and the foliage.

The second screenshot - the major negative is the foliage. I have never liked those tall quarter tile trees, they just don't look good. The land also is too busy, one or two textures would look better. Like I said, just sorting out landscaping, colors, and textures would really help.

The third screenshot - it looks nice, but still some of it is 'excess'. The decorative fences aren't needed, and are useless clutter, IMO. They wreck what would be a cool building. I know that I used to overuse them, too.

In your two new screens, fisherman's balconies are a tad overused in the first. Also, your gap in the wall where you've put in the rope fence makes the building look a little empty inside. Maybe put walls either side of the square where you can see in.

The second pic... where the arch foundations go down onto the path looks a little wierd as it's hard to see where path and 1/4 blocks actually meet. I'm not sure what you could do to rectify that short of a complete redesign of the bridge so sorry for being annoying on that one (not that I'm telling you to get rid of them or anything, only I can't think of a way to solve the problem).

They still have a nice feel and I think these are a bit further from the fooz style than before. You're going in the right direction I guess.
