Out of curiosity, how many people watch this gem of a show/own the DvD sets? Also, can you pick a favorite episode out of the batch?

Favorite episode is a pretty tricky one to pick actually with how good the overall quality of the show is, but I would say the first episode, Death Has a Shadow, is probably my favorite because of how loaded it is with all the little gags that make the series. Stewie is also in his top form as his true evil self which kind of got watered down in later episodes. A close second is the banned one, When You Wish Upon a Weinstein, they hold nothing back in that one... which would explain why it didn't air.

I watch it whenever I can.

In terms of Episodes, I like the one where they move to the South under the witness protection program and the Y2K apocalypse one.

...yeah, I don't know the names of the episodes. Most of my friends who have the season DVD's do though.

My friend has it. Fucking best show ever. I've seen disc one and two so far. But it's on weeknights on cartoon network at 11:00 (thanks metal) .

1. Stewie was much funnier in the later episodes.

2. When You Wish Upon a Weinstein wasn't that funny.

3. Death Has a Shadow is good... I'd have to pick "E Pertbus Unum" when The Griffin property becomes its own nation.

Family Guy is the best show ever. My favorite show used to be The Simpsons but Family is my favorite show now.
As for my favorite episode, hmm..... i don't really know. I do like that one with the where that British guy buys the Drunken Clam after the hurricane.

Peter: "Oh Jenny.... Oh ya don't stop....Oh Richerds Jenny your HBO comedy specials have brought peace to us all....and what a sweet ass."

BTW: When You Wish Upon a Weinstein did air on Cartoon Network, in fact it has aired several times. It wasn't that funny though.

I own both Volumes 1 and 2. My favorite is probably the Y2K episode and the chicken fight. That was comedy.

I can't wait until the show returns and the movie in '05.

I think Stewie is better in the earlier episodes but its kind of a tradeoff. In season three they developed the homosexual side of him a little more and tuned down the conquer the world aspect. In general alot of his better sequences come from the first two seasons.

I haven't seen every episode, but at least half.

Stewie and Brian are my favorite characters, which makes Road to Rhode Island my current favorite episode.

Stewie is my favorite character mainly because of his plots to kill Lois and how he always trys to be evil and funny. I watch Family Guy everyday it is on, plus i recored it every time it is on with my Tivo's season pass feature.
Now i just need to buy the DVD's then wait for the 05' season to air. After that it is Family Guy aglore!

Sigh... Why can't they show any good American programs on Swedish TV, they just seem to buy in all the crap.

I'd have to agree with vTd. The Petoria episode is easily the best for me. The pool scene rocked.
