RCT Discussion / Park Wars Start Date

This is for EVERYONE on a Park Wars team. I want to know when you guys would like it to start. There will be rules announcements and explanations coming shortly. I just want to know if you guys would want it to start as soon as all the rules and preperations are ready (very soon) or if you're all too busy with the Pro Tour. Once it starts, all teams will have 1 MONTH to get their park started. After one month from the start date, the first version of the parks will be due. The first version is only required to have an entrance area. You can build as much or as little beyond the entrance as you would like. After that, the updates will come every month. More details will come later but this will be your time commitment. So please everyone vote and state your feelings on the matter.

Not to be a punk or anything, but I tend to think this is more important than "the guy above me".

Preferably after the Pro Tour, but if people want it to start before then then i'd be sure to do my bit!

After the Pro Tour. I'm swamped between the Pro Tour, Waters Of Civilazation and homework.

The other thing is I'm really looking forward to H2H3 so can we PLEASE let the two overlap during the summer!? I mean PW updates will only come along once a month and H2H3 is every week. If we plan it right the "break" weeks in H2H3 could be timed so that the Park Wars updates would happen during the week.

Actually Park Wars won't work that way exactly. Not all the updates will come at one time. I'll explain later. As soon as I finish the ride list I'll post all of the rules and people can look them over and post any questions or concerns.

A fair amount of people voted for ASAP, but the majority of you so far seem to prefer after the Pro Tour. May 2 is a long time away. A very long time - more than 2 months. My only concern is that even more people will drop out if we put this off for another 2 months. But I don't want to start now if that means people won't have time to work on parks so it looks like we'll be waiting longer.

I'd say somewhere inbetween. I couldn't start TOMORROW..that'd be torture. I have so many things in RCT to finish up before I can focus on just Park Wars..so I'd need some time to recooperate. BUT, after the Pro Tour starts I think it'd be a little hard to organize both so I'd say in between.

If it were to start tommorow, I wouldn't be able to work on the park at all. I'm working on Warchild and the Pro Tour. Then I've got homework on that and I'm also taking driving lessons now. If it has to start before May 2nd, PLEASE start it in late March or early April.

You can't make this a poll, there's going to be people who either double post their poll selection, or people who aren't even in PW to vote. One of which (most likely both has to be the case here since there's been 37 votes thus far. Problem is... there's only 34 in the thing.

You should make everyone in PW to PM you or erase all the posts and have each person in it to cast their vote via posting what they want out of the three, not by poll.

I'd prefer that it be started after the Pro Tour. It'd give more time for PT participants and it would space the events out. I wouldn't want them so close together and then having nothing look forward to the rest of the year as far as competitions.

BUT I DON'T WANT TO WAIT UNTILL NEXT SEPTEMBER FOR H2H DAMNIT!

I had to get that out of my system. I'm looking forwards to park wars, alittle. H2H is a more exciting contest to me personally because it's far less restricted since it's open to both games and all.

I've also got other projects going. Waters Of Civilaztion needs to be finished before the PT deadline (I want it released first). Homework is really becoming hell for me at least 3 days out of the week now and with the PT...

I agree with Nate, if it must be before may 2nd-3rd then at least wait for another month here (late March) or so. Lets us wrap up the lose ends and buckle down. K?
