I just watched Apocalypse Now and it was immense. The scale of it was so big, and it really was full of suspense at the end - and the final credits with the silent explosions kind of made me just sit and stare.
Really good film. -

Theres also a redux version, tacking on another 45minutes. Brilliant film, probably one of my favourites. Duvall is brilliant, especially the surfing scene. A great quote is:
Along with my personal favourite:You either surf or you fight.
Saigon, shit, I'm still only in Saigon
The one EVERYONE knows is:
Breathtaking, this and Platoon with perhaps Full Metal Jacket pretty much sum up what good war/action films should be about.I love the smell of napalm in the morning.
And remember,Charlie don't surf!!

I love the film, and I thought the Redux version made the whole thing make a lot more sense. I've watched it 3 times now. -

I'll have to check that Redux version out, although it made enough sense for me to realise what was going on anyway.
