RCT Discussion / New Parkmakers. What do you think?

Ironically, the event that originally set in motion this recent craze over cBass and Phatage (well deserved, I might add) is not a spotlight, not a runner-up, not a design, not even a front-page announcement. It is two posts by Iris, a little over a page apart, now buried over 50 pages into a thread that cannot now be found in any forum except by changing the age cut-off for threads to "the Beginning" in a certain forum.
    I love historical obscurities.

I didn't know much about Phatage until his PT qualifier and the SF park, but I've been a fan of the Bass since early screens of Wisconsin. He just did and does things in ways I never would even dream of. I think the only reason he went unnoticed for so long was that he spent more time over at RCT2.com. Once he arrived here and people started looking at his stuff, it was inevitable that his talent would be recognized. There were lots of people on the Bass-boat long before Iris posted anything about him.

I too have been following the Big Fish for quite a long time. I've always found the interesting revelations of "New NE Parkmakers" funny, and often misleading. Why? There are some good examples:

-cBass starts Wisconsin in the fall of 2002...joins RCTM in Spring 2003 before Wisconsin is released...is reveered at NE towards the middle/end of 2003 for the park he'd advertised forever at RCT2.com
-Toon, Mantis, Twisted are excellent parkmakers that visited RCT Station quite a bit, and that were in RCTM...once they started advertising here, are also applauded for parks (or careers of parks) that they'd advertised at the Station for a while also...

And to think, these are just examples of my fellow RCTM members...I'm sure it's happened to lots of others too, like Mort and adam in U, etc...none are NEW parkmakers, just new...here.
