(Archive) Advertising District / Some LL Park

  • Silenced%s's Photo
Anyway, after my flop on my other park, I started this and decided to post it after it is for say 30% done. I have the entrance complete and I am working on a Pioneer area. Here's a screen of the Pioneer area.

Your definitely improving. Since I don't know alot of LL , I just want to say, change the grass.

It looks pretty good, just plain. Maybe it's all the brown, but nothing seems to stand out.

The architecture is very repetitive. Every building looks the same, just a 2x2 block with shorter 1x2 sections added on to the sides. All the building combine the same three textures as well. Limiting yourself to those textures is fine, but try varying the way you use them, and addisome variation in the shapes and heights of your buildings. Variety is the spice of life, and all...
Also, all the land is plain grass, which could be changed to something a little more interesting.

    Keep working, it has potential

For starters change the land type under the path, it's a detail that always helps. Add some fences anywhere they are missing (left-middle part of the screen), that really helps too unless you're going for a more natural feel, and then you should wipe out all the fences.

Try to make your building alittle larger and more complex, they're average now but that could change with careful size expansion. The three texture's you're using work very well together though. Adding some ride archtecture wouldn't hurt either. Mine Train track on the roofs and some virgina reel overhangs would be nifty too.

Sorry, just telling you how I would go about it now that I've had the time to change my LL style alittle.

    Grass is nice looking actually...

Just cover up that station w/ buildings, maybe make it shorter too.

It's not a bad start at all, the only big problem I see is the small 2x2 archy, you can put a bit more thought into it. ;)

Looks nice, for sure change the grass under the paths. Maybe add a little color, looks kinda bland. But yes, this is better than your other LL work.

I enjoy looking at this. I joined with RCT2, so i dont know much about LL, and dont like a lot of parks released for LL. I do like this though. I agree, the grass under the flowers stands out too much, and a land change under the path would help it a lot.

I'm in the same boat as Richie....I'm not big on LL parks, but based on what I know about them, this looks pretty good knuckles, especially the landscaping, nice work...

knuckles.. is it RCTX Group Park?
    I think more ride roof..
    that's be better than this
  • Silenced%s's Photo
    I quit RCTX remember?

Yeah I was gonna make ride roofs and I will change the land under the paths.
I can't find another wall texture/color that looks normal in this park though. I have a screen of the entrance coming later today, so hold up.

I like the station the way it is, I didn't expect it to look like it stuck out in the screen because it looks good in game. And ride6, I knew it was missing something, I just couldn't find out what!

The first screen is a bit bland and needs some windows.

The second screen is nice. Also I like the teal wooden arches you used B)

    In the new screens:

That tan building in the first screen needs windows and some shrubs along the "shore" wouldn't hurt either. On the 2nd screen I'm not so sure about how high you have that chinese cedar tree up there... (the one on the left next to the footpath). Lowering that rock a unit or two would help.

    Dig'n the teal.
