lovely, cannot wait. Still some track missing and stuff, but i'm sure one day this'll be a lovely program that most of us here will love very much.
And i'm proud of myself recognizing one of the 4 screenshots, of SWA.

Hey! The trees have become really realistic now! And bright!
Awesome as usual. When do we start seeing night mode? -

Whee!!! Replies...
Thanks to everyone for checking out the pictures
Evil WME: Yeah, I know track is missing. I did have more track in the past two versions of the program, but I also rewrote this version from scratch, so I need to reincorporate all of the ride elements (and everything else) back into the program.
Congrats to both of us for being able to recognize one of the parks. You, for being able to go through your repository of parks and recognize a scene from one, and me for being able to render something recognizable.
As a side note, at least 3 of the parks have been spotlight parks at some point. One of them (besides SWA) is still in "The List." Can you recognize them?
Corkscrewed: Thanks! I don't know if I'm going to be able to have night mode like RCT3 will. I can easily change the time of day and make everything dark as it goes into nighttime (a shot from Milestone 6 showed Disney Dreams at sunset), but I don't know if I'm going to be able to light up buildings and the ground and stuff like that.
Adix: Yep. What's even better is that the ties are different on the lift and on the main track, just like in real life. The lift ties look like standard TOGO ties, and the non-lift ties look like classic B&M ties.
That's part of the goal of this milestone. I want to make everything very realistic if I can (if it gets too realistic, I also want an option to turn it down to RCT-level realism). I've scoured the net looking for pictures of existing coasters to use as a reference for the models in RCTGL. For the Steel Twister, I used a pic from Kraken that I found over at RCDB.
RCTGL is slowly turning from a simple 3d viewer for RCT parks into a realistic park simulator that uses RCT parks as a reference.
Mantis: I plan on working on more ride elements in the near future. I'm going to start with the simple stuff and work my way up to the complicated ones. In fact, if I can swing it, I'm going to work on some more lift hills tonight.
