Sports Illustrated (popular American Sports Mag) has been doing a section in their magazine called Sports in America. In each weeks magazine, they focus on a new state. There has been some very interesting results and I got to thinking, how would England compare to the US states. So, for all of you Brits, answer the following questions:

    - Favorite Premiership Team

    - Favorite Sports Team (if other than a football team, or this could be a divisional football team)

    - Greatest athlete who ever lived or played for a team in England

    - England's biggest rival (example, France, Scotland)

    - England's Bigest rivalry (example Manchester United - Arsenal, Man United - Man City, Liverpool - Leeds)

    - Favorite Sport to play

    - Favorite Sport to watch on TV (you can name more than one. Examples, football, rugby, winter olympics, summer olympics)

    - Enemy of England (most hated sports player, coach, owner not associated in England)

    - Most Hated Foe (different from rival. Who do you hate most)

    - Greatest Sports moment or event in England

Again a personal one that I thought summed up England perfectly. When Graham Thorpe came back to test cricket after his marital problems and subsequent break, and scored a century at Lords. The camera looked into the crowd and found Sir Bobby Robson with a tear in his eye, giving Thorpey a standing ovation (along with the rest of the crowd).

Was Graham Thorpe the really big guy with the huge beard... can't remember, the guide at Lords went through the history so animately that he got me confused with names and dates and such that he kept spitting out.
