Ok, i will be trying a recreation, but i need some custom supports. I will be creating Collossus at thorpe park, (Pic Here) but im having trouble with these supports.
Ive been trying to edit toons wooden poles (horizontal + slanted) and also the slanted support that came with the game, trying to put them on the edge of a 1/4 square so that they can look centred in a full square. I was wondering if anyone could help me out.
The DAT files are..
XXWDPL01 - Horizontal wood poles (Toon)
XXWDPL06 - Slanted wood poles (toon)
SUPPLEG1 - Slanted pole (origional from game)
If anyone can help catch me on aim or post here, or if anyone has any objects that might be useful already? I cant find any in my object folder.
Thanks in advance for any help.
PS: The Upright support is ja227's (sp?) object, and doesnt need any editing. -

i could try to give it a go.think it shouldn't be to hard and toon gave me the permission to edit his objects.
so i will try.
though i don't know if that can work out.
but if i don't try i'll never find out.
thx that you already put the dat names in it
in a day ot two you have them if it works. -

I think that you can go onto the size part of the object editor and put it onto 1/4 tile rather than fulll tile of which it is default. -

What exactly is the problem you're having with these? In the screen they look right...
I can help you if Maggi cant...I just need some clarification on what exactly you're having trouble with.

I need the objects on the very edge of 1/4 squares so they look centered. The look ok-ish in the screen above, but if you look closer they are pretty crap, and i know i for one hate having crap scenery in my folder. If i cant make them any better i will have to use them. If you turned the view from the screen above, they all look like they are on different squares, i have no idea (since this is the first objects i ever edited) what im doing.
I dont know if that helps, but i would like the objects on the edge of the 1/4 square (black blob = object) if possible, if not i need it as close to the edge as possible, so that it look centered for supports i need to do in a recreation. -

I don't understand how that is so difficult to achieve? Go into the original wood pole dat file and reposition it to the edges of the quarter square. If you move it 2 sideways for every one up or down it will stay properly positioned from an isometric view. Then its just a matter of moving it till it's postioned where you want it. -

Thanks to Toon for the origional objects, i just moved them a little. They now sit on the edges of the 1/4 squares, useful peices IMO, for supports or building detail. The horizontal poles look better doubled up (they look like 1 pole). The thin slanted support is at 0 clearance. Hope you find them useful.
Again, thanks toon for permission to edit them.
