Yeah that must be it. I haven't tried using the RCT3 disk yet (as I haven't had much time to play). The RCT3 disk would use the old copy protection, thus making this not an issue. I was not even aware that the original RCT3 disk would run the game so thanks for the heads up.
I too am noting an increase in framerate. But it seems when things start getting bogged down (really big parks) that increase is no longer noticeable. -

Just wondering... How's the frame rate in your park? I've seen parks that look a lot less detailed but have a terrible frame rate (and my computer isn't bad at all). Although, these parks do have a lot of water and terrain editing (which seems to lower the frame rate even more than rides and scenery).
