  • This is really pleasant! I think the coasters are a strength - they look very realistic, believable, and fun! The Arrow and Intamin accelerator are my favorite.

This park doesn’t have the level of detail for accolades IMO, but I don’t think that’s what you were going for anyway. Instead, it feels like a very high quality scenario play through, and that’s very fun!

I agree everything is a little too isolated / spaced out. While I think the breathing room is important (and realistic) fleshing out that space in between would do a lot for the vibes - even if it’s just little sitting areas, trash cans, or other “lived in” park features.

This seems like a good foundation either way, and I’m excited to see what else you come up with.
  • Okay, this is amazing. I’ve long thought you were one of the most talented and underrated builders on here. Glad to see you earn a well-deserved status!

As far as this entry, I’m blown away by how powerful it is. I definitely never expected to be so emotionally moved by a silly old video game, but this actually inspires me to approach my relationships in life a little differently. Truly impressive.

The blacked out peep idea is genius, and the scene-style layout is executed perfectly. There are so many subtle choices here that make this feel like a very real flashback of memories, and each scene is built to perfection. Just incredible.

For the people saying the coaster didn’t add much, I couldn’t disagree more. IMO, it’s an obvious metaphor for the relationship and possibly even the woman herself (note the matching color with the dress), which is a pretty genius and powerful way to represent a relationship, complete with highs, lows, good memories, bad memories, unexpected turns, and sadly in this case, an end to the ride. The decision to have the couple riding the roller coaster together drives this home in a brilliant way.

Amazing work, barnNID. 100% for me.
  • The blown up roof is my favorite part of this screen.

  • Great guide, thank you!

I was able to get a 1-track object running perfectly, but I am running into an issue when adding a second track. In game, only Track 2 plays on repeat. Any ideas?

I think I figured it out. It seems the playlists play in a random order, so for a two-song playlist you have a 50/50 shot of Song #1 playing two times in a row, and a 25% shot of three times in a row.

It seems that if you want tracks to play in a specific order, you should probably combine and arrange them in Audacity as one longer track.
  • I love this! My favorite entry of the 11 we've seen so far, by quite a lot. The map is a ton of fun... you do a fantastic job of mixing realism with believable fantasy. Reminds me of the vibe of the original RCT franchise, upgraded for NE. It feels new and nostalgic, at the same time.

    So many great touches:
-I LOVE that crashed UFO through the town sign. Perfect.
-The cracked roads are awesome, and those broken water lines with crashed cars really take it to the next level.
-The little men in black vans, so fun.

-Animated powerlines tie it all together.

    Great job!
