  • True, I think more challenging objectives certainly can be the solution, because now I was like they both checked the objective marks in a good way, but it's almost impossible to judge which one has a better:

-Your park must be set before 250 BCE or themed to that era.

-Your park must feature one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

  • Now that I look at the score sheet, I think the quality category should be weighted a bit heavier. The objective is hard to judge anyway and more easy to achieve imo

Completely different take on the theme and what I expected, but it worked for me! Always love a realistic setting and I'm a big sucker for indoor themeparks, so this was right up my alley..

Great coaster layouts, like we're expecting from an AJ park. Loved the interactions of the dive coaster with the pathways, especially that first drop under and around that viewing platform. Nice touch with the swaying palm trees as well.

The corkscrew coaster reminded me more of those standard launched Vekoma's, and maybe had a train too much, but lovely interaction with the flume.. Also loved how it is sitting lower than pathways, so guests have an excellent view of the layout. Love that little mural on the backside with the swaying palm tree and pyramid at the back of the flume lift hill. Those other murals are also well done, and create some nice visuals for the guests to look at, other than some boring concrete wall..

Also love the little seating areas throughout the park, just how you would see them IRL. The other supporting rides also were nicely done and provide some nice variation and content.

Wow, so much to like here! The first thing I immediately clicked on were those flags made out of canvas walls, so clever! Shows how powerful the invisible color can be :D

But next my main focus went to meticulously constructed lighthouse, great details, blend from dark to lighter brown on the walls using the transparent fade wall, and absolutely loved the interaction and integration of the water coaster into it. Must be a thrill to ride! Also loved the ''Disney deco'' walls used to theme the battlements and the splashes of color to give the tower some more depth and variation. Great foliage around as well (gotta love that savanna bush)

The city area also had some great architecture, rides, and details. As a big fan of interiors I also loved to see those really well executed, gives the buildings some actual meaning, and a lot more opportunity to get more content in and the viewer more engaged with the park.

The library of Alexandria gave me H2H vibes, so well themed, with lots of great interactions, and love the rotations you did like the real-life darkrides use to point guests to interesting scenes.. Creative use of the 1/4 recolored paths to create the water with, and the camel pulling the chain was just genius :D

Great soundtrack as well! (guess FredD was in charge of that ;) )

Always nice to see some new Lurker work! Your style has such an oldschool charm to it, really brings me back to the early NE RCT1 days. It felt a bit light on the concept side of things, as other than the lighthouse there wasn't really much interaction or story connected with it.. The rides had some names connected to it, but other than that I didn't really get the theme, other than just a themepark that's sitting on the shore..

It was nice to just look at the coasters and the landscaping/foliage you've used throughout the park. Some nice supporting rides and color usage as well.

I love some speedbuilding (don't care what others say), and you guys created some great quality with the time you invested. Loved the concept of miniature versions of the world wonders, and they each were instantly recognisable and had some charm to them for sure! Nice height variations, terraforming and landscaping as well.

Too bad there was not more content, especially in the form of rides, could've at least added 1 I think :p But guess it also suits the concept of the miniature walkthrough/survey idea to just focus on those..

Great to see an entry of you Kenos! Although there wasn't really much to go through, I enjoyed what was there, especially the flume coming out of the pyramid (and the little sfrinx head where the flume enters the pyramid), the curved pathing area attached to the big bridge at the edge of the map, and the little colorful details on the buildings.

Wow, what an elaborate and nicely paced layout! Really enjoyed following it along, and must be an absolute thrill to ride that one! Great support work as well, makes it all more believable.

Lovely pathing (although another texture maybe would've sold the theme better), which also had nice interactions with the coaster.

Lovely foliage as well, really dig that deeper shade of green on some of the bushes to give it more depth.

Nice supporting rides as well, especially how Black Obelisk is nestled inside one of the last corners of the coaster.

Could've used some custom music though, for the atmosphere.

Wow, what a coaster! Apart from the first little hill after the launch (must be painful :p ) I really loved it! Going through the pyramid like that and around the landscape was done so wonderfully and it kept its pacing all throughout.. Again, I might sound like a broken record, but would be an absolute thrill to ride this! Also, that support work is some of the best I've ever seen, especially around the pyramid.

The little buildings are also done so tastefully; not overdoing it, but adding just that much detail that it keeps it interesting.

Lovely peep scenes throughout the map as well, keeps it interesting to look around the map and discover new things, poor Steve :p

The crunch in both the pathing and landscaping was also so well done, really gives it that Egyptian desert vibe! Also glad I could help out in time with those half diagonal grass trims, they were used so well to create a nice border of the map! Props on the water color and river bedding as well, gives some nice splash of color.

And finally, the soundtrack gave it such a nice atmosphere, really felt like I was there :D

Bit of a toss-up between deano/fred's and this one, but because Ptolemy had a bit more content and had me engaged a bit more, I went with that one, but not by a lot.. Thanks for all the work guys!

  • Incredible work Alex, such an amazing atmosphere!

  • Very nice work Recurious! I agree some more details would do this good, but already dig the atmosphere here, I actually really like the color scheme..
