I didn't really like the park.. There was nothing I haven't seen in a spotlight or some other park before, with the exception of some themes.

The architecture wasn't anything special to me, but I did like the landscaping a bit.

It's what one might call "typicall NE fluff".

I can't believe you just said that 8@

Congratulations Ozone, all that way and all that time you have taken up to build parks and send in to NE. Finally, as we were just saying NE was boring that night. What happens a few hours later, a beauftiful new spotlight appears.

Great job man, the Shrek area was just incredible for me, that was the area that made it worth everything to me. The atmosphere was lovely, good job again.

Looking forward to working with you again.

To get a watercoaster to launch, number of cars (per train) must be set to three, otherwise you will get an error trapper.

mantis - cheers! that must have taken a while to work out!

can´t you make it four and get a it bigger boat? anyways, on any regular water coaster/water splash ride has three when you open them with beast or whatever..

    Anywho, the park.

The park was in some ways a major let down, however, i think Ozone has some very nice areas in this park. Shrek´s area was nice, although the water fit, it seemed out of place sometimes.. then i didn´t dig the beemer with three vertical loops much either. All the industrial areas looked very ugly and unfitting to me. The castle in Shrek´s area was ugly. The gladiator area is magnificent. The woodie very interesting, and the galleys theming very nice. Jaguar was a nice decent coaster, and the area was my second favorite. The entrance seemed as a giant blob of unthoughtfully placed paths and lined with flowers and some big buildings. The merging to hack a lift hill.. yuck! you coulda asked me to make that bOOtiful!!! Nate´s 4D was boring, and the "ring of light" soooooooo cheap. I didn´t like the horse thing either. All in all, it shows a hell of a lot of potential, so good luck on you undoubtfully almost done next project.

well spank me and call me suzy!

I loved the minority report area. I liked the rapids/glass/go kart roof thing you did with your high rollers. I didn't really like it in your high rollers, but I can see how it helped you pull off the more urban feel that is VERY hard to do.

I figured it out the easy way. I asked roomraider. :)

Glad I gave up on my DreamWorks park. I am not worthy...

I really liked the Shrek and Minority Report areas. You did a fantastic job. Natelox's coaster didn't seem like it was made with all of Nate's skill, it looked it could have been better.

Also, any clue when the runner ups will be posted?

i was just wondering if you didnt mind if you or someone could take as many screenshots of the park as possible and post them for people to look at somewhere? im asking this because all i have is rct2 and i really want to see this park.

p.s. why are almost all the spotlights rct1? :( ???

    :stupid:

p.s. why are almost all the spotlights rct1? :(  ???

Because people have only been playing rct2 for a fraction of this site's lifetime, and generally the spotlight-quality rct2 parks being made at the moment are taking a long time to finish.

Plus, methinks the LL parks being made are better :D

we'll see about that mantis. j/k.

I really liked this park. You guys really make want to play rct1 more and more. But I know I would get lost in it and I have no idea how to do the hacks and all that stuff. Anyways, congrats OZONE on winning spotlight. You really deserve it.

To each his own, I guess...

Where is everyone? Why aren't people telling Ozone what they think?
    WHAT'S HAPPENING TO THE WORLD?!
  • Micool%s's Photo
    *hides* :0

I haven't posted because I still haven't decided what I think of the park. The ideas were there (Everybody Runs was sooo davage) and OZONE's skill was there, but it was...I dunno..."lingering," I guess. Apparently he hit a couple of limits in the park which shows ineffecientcy because it wasn't super-themed as a lot of parks around, especially mala parks and stuff. And it just seems lazy! Some of the hacks are nice but others are either pointless or badly done. The horse race was a wonderful idea but it's very short and the horses are constantly going through eachother. Then there are the places that just screamed "hack me! HACK MEEE!!" Like, put windows on the buildings holding ride entrances, dammit! And put some innovation in your names! wtf is with "hiding shit," and "hiding more shit?"

Shrek's Swamp is one of my very favorite areas of all time. A nice coaster that doesn't crowd the area. A very funny element. (The ride name is fucking amazing!) The S's on the paths, the incredible names, the green/brown textures with bullrushes mixed w/ yellow flowers! (Great minds think alike :p)

"It's growing on me" is a popular sentence 'round here and I think it's happening. On first impression I wasn't impressed - and I'm convinced it took about two week's worth of serious work (;)) - but the little details are very nice and the area of the park you were able to cover was incredible.

A few people have commented on the fact that they don't like the coaster. So I figgure I must explain myself. I like it, I think the layout is very realisitc and I really liked the way the supports turned out. I also love the length. I guess it's good to love what you do.

Well, I said that I would reply to the posts, so I will keep to my word. ... here goes.

(Starting right after my last post)

Mantis: Thanks man(tis), reading that post was almost better than actually wining spotlight. I'll try to answer some questions you had:

    What's the "Stor" banner mean?

    - *goes to see if it really says 'stor'... Ok, good. It says "Spor", which I honestly don't know what means. I see it in almost all roman things - in banners that they carry. About the water coaster, I never gave it any though, as I never had any problems with it. Natelox already gave you the answer, but I really didn't know it. lol. It was always set on 3 anyways.

Scarface: Not really very much for me to reply about, but I'm glad you liked it. Really, knowing that people like it is the best part of releasing a park - whether it wins spotlight, or not.

Natelox: Thanks for clearing that up for Mantis, and myself.

Critic: I'm sorry that you didn't like it. You say there was nothing you havn't seen in a spotlight - I really believe there is. I'm not trying to change your opinion, and I'm certainly not saying my park is any better than past spotlights. That would be crazy, because it doesn't come close. I will explain what I was shooting for in the park at the end of this post.

Mort: Thank you, and I'm glad you enjoyed the shrek area. I really enjoy reading posts with nothing negetive in them, lol, duh.

Evil WME: Showing potential is good enough for me. :) I don't like the three loops in the B&M either, but I was way too lazy to go back and change the design. This was the first coaster in the park, and I still think that it is much better than my previous beemers.
Lord Farquaad's castle is ugly, but it almost had to be to fit the movie - which is what I really going for in all the sections.
Our opinions differ I think, because the two areas you liked most, I thought were the weakest in the park. They contained the fewest ideas taken from the movies.

The merging to hack a lift hill

What? I don't know what you are talking about here.

Gymkid dude: I think that that is the best advantage of using river rapids as buildings, and they can be any color - how pimp is that. Of course It won't matter to most people, they can just use rct2 and make whatever color of walls they want. 8@ too easy.

Gir: I really don't think there is any need to stop your project because of this, build whatever you feal like.

CoasterKid: The runner ups will be posted whever Iris feals like it. lol.

Gtw..ball.. somthing: Buy rct, its better. :D

Kraken: Thanks, and you can start playing rct1 whenever, you gotta start some place.

Mantis: lol, thanks for this post. And other people, I swear that I didn't tell mantis to post that.

Micool: What does "davage" mean? Yes, I hit the ride limit because I was trying to name the windows what the buildings were at first. It was stupid, and I suggest to other people to just name the things inside of them and use all one ghost train for windows - it would have made things much simpler. lol @ hiding shit and more shit. I was freakin tired of naming crap and thats all that those were doing. Please, give me some suggestions as to what you would name the support-hiding chairlifts.

Natelox: I personally love your coaster, it is just what the section called for. Thank you again.

------------If you are going to read any of this massive post people, read below this---------------

I am going to explain what I was going for in this park. This is not to try to get you to like the park , but rather to see my true aim.

Looking at the different views - like people focusing on coasters, themeing, names - I was mostly focusing on making what I though as a semi-realistic DreamWorks park. Not exactly realism, but somwhat what a DreamWorks park would look like did it actually exsist.

I honestly think that you can enjoy the park more, if you have the same focus while looking at it.

P.S. I included some specific details that I added, written in the parks readme.

    Micool:  What does "davage" mean?

It's a word I got from a friend, whose friend made it up. It means whatever you want it to mean! Lessee, in this sense, it would mean..uh...

    pimp?

Please, give me some suggestions as to what you would name the support-hiding chairlifts.

Hmm, be creative! You will see... :w00t:
