Haha well its funny. You got all these other great finished parks out there and you say this park wit a few unfinished coasters is the greatest "park". There is no way. Now if it would be finished, I am sure itd be a great park but the way it is now is not great.

    That's good to know.

hey man, no problem. i just think it is funny that adhere to this style so ferverently and hark and hollar that it is so good because it is "different," yet there are parks out there that are exactly like this.

this is not to say that i do not enjoy the park, infact i love it and i celebrate it's style and refined complexity.

See there's the problem. This stupid "there are parks just like this" complex everyone seems to have. There is nothing, nothing exactly like this. Sure, it's inspired by some parks, some in rct, some real life, but come on. Is there any one park completely original from anything you've seen in real life/rct/whatever? Even Phatage and Mala have at least somewhere along the line picked up on techniques from other parkmakers. If you really try, you can look at any park and see a building or whatever that looks, "alot like so and so's park." It's like if I tried to invent a new style of music completley original from any other style of music, there's just no way to do that. I could record myself taking a guitar and beating the hell out of it, but there's even a genre of music called "Noise", so really.

I really like this style of parkmaking, that's no mystery. That doesn't mean I harken every park to come out in this style completley different and original, I'd just be kidding myself. Steve (not picking on you or anything) makes parks similar (borrowed from/whatever you want to call it) to this style, and I like most of his work and I do think his parks look different from alot of other work, but I don't go saying "OMG MOST ORIGNALE WORK EVAR!111" because it's not. Just like this, thrillmatic isn't the most original and inspired park ever, but it's refreshing to see something different from most other work out there, plus in a style you really like. Just like it's refreshing when Phatage or Mala or posix release a park. It's different. Yet the one's who are saying "they have seen this before" and such are the same people praising The Masterpiece (nothing against x250 either, just an example) for being so amazing and different.

Really, there is no greatest park ever. It's all opinion, which I hope you know, even though you don't seem to. You could argue that it takes more skill to make a gigantic complex building out of .50/4 sized rct pieces then creating a natural, flowing landscape that's perfectly aesthetic, but are you really going to change anyone's true opinions? No, your not. Likewise, I was being sarcastic when I said it's not an opinion that this the greatest rct2 work ever. All I know is, if it would finished, in my mind it would be.

Hey! I was working on this! I made a hyper nfg if you want to see.

what i meant with my comment was -- it would have been the greatest rct2 park ever created if it was finished. i guess i quoted the wrong person.

It was good, yes, very good yes, but greatest RCT2 park ever I dont think so... The unfinished areas were still dripping with atmosphere, and easily some of the best realistic details I have seen to date, yet I didnt see anything that made it better than parks like Isole Calabria or even some of artist's stuff. I am sure if completed this would make spotlight, but still I am not sure of greatest park ever. Still, I am not knocking your park what so ever, its great, and greater than I have ever or will ever build, really is a shame you couldnt finish it, it had the greatest realistic details i have seen to date as well as some kick ass coaster designs and amazing atmosphere. Great work slob/MF.

i honestly forgot i sent you the park to work on phatage. i'm sincerely sorry. i feel like an ass.

you could keep working it if you want... but i guess there's no point anymore. sorry man.

on this site, build mindlessly, tall stuff, clinch colours together = original, creative and innovative.
truly realistic parks are considered cliché, boring, empty and "i have seen this ages ago".

That's one of the parts where this site fails to include a good set of logics.. whenever someone sets out to be creative people give them credit for it, yet trying to be creative does not imply the result being creative. Actually, creativity is much more complexed than that, it can't be forced.

Anyways, the park is nice. I can see the lost interest, it looks like you did the fun coaster parts but now you had to do the building and more or less filler parts. Really, it would have been one heck of a park, yet it isn't, because it isn't finished. Nice beemer, nice SLC, possibly a nice mine ride too, yet it ends there and it won't get any further, get over it people.

Personally I think our imagined image of the completed project is far more beautiful than what it would've been, then again what it there is "perfect". Somehow in being "perfect" it aviods being stale and dry like most and somehow instead breaks into a realm that's almost real. More than anything this really makes me want to do a perfect recreation of some wonderful place like Hersheypark or Indiana Beach. Maybe...

Anyway I understand all the hype now, because this has those little landscaping touches, perfect custom supports and all those other little realist touchest that shifts this out of the realm of normality. Congradulations on making me like simi-realism. :)

Pity. This is probably the park that inspired me most in recent times.

Whoa! What a park. I loved the floorless and inverted coasters (mostly the floorless). It's a shame it wasn't finished; it would have been contest material.

What was to be, shall never pass
As Thrillmatic, the Cursed one cast.

Why does everyone become a Parkmaker and THEN retire? I think this is like incentive to NOT make people Parkmakers. That way, they keep working!
