The following has nothing to do with DisneySea. Sorry for doing this, Iceman, the park was great, &c, but this needs to be said. SORRY.

Has Basic Chat been taken away, or is my computer just screwing up?

Please, just one person respond and this insidious off-topicness can stop.

its rct fiesta time. so no basic chat, only rct chat.

Having just got back from DisneySea, I can safely say that it is easily the best themed park in the world. There is nothing that would even come close. Apart from maybe Happy Valley in China. Or Lotte World. But apart from them, it's untouchable.

This park, whilst absolutely brilliant and one of my favourite spotlights ever, doesn't quite capture the essence of the real one. I know it's rct, so it's limited, but to me, there weren't enough details in parts. Yes, the buildings were nice, and looked very similar to their real life counterparts, but it didn't have them little quirks that I found in the real park.

Although, if I just look at the park as though I haven't been, it is fantastic. There are a few areas I don't like, such as the Scandanavian bit, but I could still see the skill shining through. The submarine was fantastic, and the entrance area was superb. The only thing I would suggest is put a little more closer down to the paths. If I remember correctly, there wasn't much down near the actual paths, which is what the RCT peeps would see. They wouldn't see right to the top of these buildings unless they were stood at the opposite end of the park.

But yeah, easily my favourite spotlight since Turtle's last park.

what kind of little quirks are you referring to? i had to go completely on pictures, so hearing some ideas from someone who has been there would be of great help for when i go back over the park again.

It's just things like in the entrance area, the bottom of the buildings seemed very un-detailed compared to the real one. And the entrances to the buildings were more like big grand arches, not glass doors.

When I manage to scan my photos in, I'll send them your way.

when did it get that score?

  • csw%s's Photo

Um...I assume recently, as it was a spotlight before the accolade panel.

We don't need to comment on every park getting updated scores saying, "when did this get a score?!" though.

csw what i think made this interesting is that it has a 100% no on spotlight

  • csw%s's Photo

Understandable. But I meant mostly for other parks that will receive scores in the future.

I don't think we can select yes/no when voting on old accolades, apparantly no is the default. But more importantly, as requested before, please stop asking these annoying fucking questions. Bumping old parks with relevant opinions and obsverations is perfectly fine, but not with the faecal matter you just posted.

i posted mine because i simply didn't realize until then, but now i understand the system

it's glad to see a park which doesn't follow the modern conventions of aestethics and general composition still stand the test of time. highball's new park is going to blow this outta the fucking water, though.
