in one word, "refreshing" from all the realism we see all too often...

I like it. Incredibly detailed and yet very fun, especially with the two mine coasters that snake around the layout and that fantastic castle architecture.

I've officially lost all respect for Phatage. It seems like he's just angry about something and taking it out on accolades.

The park looks fantastic Arjan, if a bit small. Maybe would have been better as a Design submission rather than a Spotlight. I could see this as one section of a Gold or Spotlight park, though.

    This seems a little extreme.

Congrats dude! It looks like you had a lot of fun with this. Might have missed out on silver due to lack of detailing/refinement, but I feel like bronze is just about right for this kind of release. And then again, maybe the reason you are this productive is because you're not overly nitpicky about detail's details, as many of us are nowadays. :)

Most of all I'm gonna agree with Belgianguy on this one, this park is highly refreshing and different from what we've seen lately.

First great thanks and respect to posix ,5dave ,Liampie and Jonny93 for making this submission a release.

You did a lot Liampie (posix too) and i loved the review ,but rising star? We'll see i guess. :p
Next year i'll be thinking of a huge park again like world of creations.
Now you can expect more designs to improve my skills.

Nice logo dave ,really love it.

Thanks once again for the honest votes everyone.

Please ,if you like, explain your vote so that i may learn from it.

@ Belgian Guy : Nice to hear that you enjoyed it ,it didn't turn out perfectly all together ,but next time it will be better. ;)

@ AK Koaster : I'm glad you like it ,i knew those 2 coasters would raise eyebrows ,as well as the castles.

    @ Dr_Dude : Haha ,just wait for my next park(s). :p

@ Ling : Thanks ,but i don't rate this one gold or spotlight, i made too many mistakes. I was definately hoping for silver ,but it doesn't matter it's still an accolade.
Also don't hate Phatage ,if it was his honest vote then i'll respect it.
I've put myself in their place last couple a days trying to imagine how they feel and i've learned from that. We must not forget that they don't get payed for it ,it's something they do for the community out of free will.

    As for submission type.
The park has 4 coasters a logflume and some small rides ,so i guessed it would be a park.
    It's small but it's packed.

Edit: Thanks RMM and Ruben ,and yeah i definately had fun building this. :D

Congrats Arjin I had a feeling this would be a winner. But I think the best is yet to come. :mantis:

It's an awesome amusement park in the middle of a lava lake, love everything I can see form the overview, may look into it tommorrow.

I'm looking forward to your next projects.

This panelist-bashing is way out of control. And why criticize Phatage, but not robbie or chorkiel? Why not criticize turbin3 for voting too high? In fact, his vote is more of an outlier than Phatage's.

Arjan, the atmosphere is great, and the quality of the architecture contributes a lot to that. The foliage needs work though.

    @ Version 1 : Thanks ,enjoy it.

@ gir : Thanks , i know i messed up with foilage quality and composition, i've learned from that.

    No bashing ,you're right.

I'm surprised by Turbins vote as well as phatage's vote.
Turbin obviously had much love for this while phatage apparently didn't like it.
    Maybe they'll explain.

    No grudge.

    that lava animation...

nice work though, I really enjoyed it. surprisingly robust themes. the architecture could have used a little variation and more interesting color schemes though.

If I based my votes on how much 'skill' is made evident of a parkmaker by their park then this would've gotten a higher vote I suppose, but I base my votes on how I would enjoy the park as an informed peep, informed meaning that I knew the work that went behind the making of the park. I know things like all that quartertile rockwork took a lot of time and a good amount of skill to do but as a park-goer, it doesn't really enhance my experience all that much. If I'm to go out of my way for a park this size, it should have some interesting architecture, notable rides, and/or just a lot of plain cool things to do. As a parkgoer, I thought this park lacked these things enough to not warrant giving it a Bronze rating. I do remember hovering between a 40 and 45 vote and ended up going with the 40 after viewing other parks that I've given the Bronze rating that I thought were better.

Hopefully that explanation offers a little more insight than Ling's comment did. Well I guess his did give us some insight but I was referring more to your park Arjan.

'it should have some interesting architecture, notable rides'

So you think the architecture wasn't good enough and there weren't notable rides....
    I don't agree.
You might be right about the landscaping though ,it's overdone.

    Thanks for your reply.

Edit: Thanks Cocoa, i know ,colours is something that's not my strongest point. I'll work on more varied architecture in the future.

    Thanks Corkscrewy.

And thanks also Casimir ,must have missed your post last night.
