your best work ever IMO, i really love the using of trainers, it will probably beat my kingdom of dreams park, i will try to post it as well someday, good job majordomo (ot phscale as we know you over at reddit)

Thanks, gdb. I just hope this doesn't get overshadowed by Starpointe (not that I have anything against Starpointe, it's just unfortunate timing).

Lol, I know, I'm just nervous about this.

    This was really cool!
I loved the overall atmosphere and your rides.
I think your architecture needs a bit of work though.

Really enjoyed this when I approved it.

I think you can go far with this game if you keep at it.

Really shows a whole load of potential.

@Faas: Yeah, I feel like architecture is still my weakest area, and I'm working to improve it. I feel like this architecture is better than any of my previous stuff, but it still has a ways to go. Part of it for me is that I'm still getting familiar with all the CSO and how it can be used.

@Louis!: Thanks! I don't plan on quitting any time soon, so hopefully I can go far. ;)

People need to vote one this!

pros: peeps make everything better, it really makes your park seem alive.

you've clearly put in a lot of effort, and it shows nicely with the hacked flat rides, especially the twist looks great.

cons: architecture is...weird. I know there's not really much to go on with native american themes but it sort of seemed like you choose a selection of textures and colors as your 'theme' and then just put them together in different combinations so it would sort of look cohesive/native american. but it didn't really work for me.

maybe choose an easier architectural theme next time? :p

also, that layout was atrocious. sorry.

  • Majordomo%s's Photo

Yeah, I plan on keeping my architecture a lot simpler in my Foggy Mountain project. Your assessment of it is pretty spot on, honestly.

As far as the layout goes, what didn't you like? Rather, what would you have changed?

  • Cocoa%s's Photo

its just really awkward. the drop transitions weirdly into more weird turns and stuff which don't seem really exciting or make sense, with some really painful looking loops and then more awkard hills and turns until the end :p

the dive loop element was the most out of place, for sure

  • Majordomo%s's Photo

If you take each element, it's pretty much a spread out "Vekoma SLC 765m extended" layout. The rough loops is kind of a Vekoma signature as well.

Personally, I'm not a huge fan of how real life Vekoma SLCs are laid out, but I wanted to do something outside of my comfort zone there. I took a few liberties with the layout, in order to distinguish it from just any old SLC, but not that many.

The dive loop element is called a sidewinder. They always look out of place :p

  • 5dave%s's Photo

That was a nice little design you had there!

The layout wasn't that exciting, but believable (Vekoma building a custom SLC that's just a bit more spread out)...

Maybe there was a bit too much forest throughout, but I liked the whole feel of it. Nice take on an Indian theme! Good work!

Thanks, 5dave! That means a lot coming from someone as skilled as you.

Maybe I did overdo it on the trees. I tried to go for a palate that was a transition between meadow and swamp lands to forested hills.

And it just hit the panel! :D

I've placed my vote for you... you'll see what it is.

    Quite a surprise though.

You could become a serious player!

  • Majordomo%s's Photo

Thanks, Arjan! (I hope. I can't see the votes yet, haha)

I'm hoping to be more than a serious player sometime in the near future though. I've been applying to a bunch of places in the industry. Wish me luck there! :p

    Good luck!!!!
