I've only looked at Mike and Micks park and...great park!!

Cant believe Im saying this about a park Mike Robbins did...but I actually liked the archy more than the coasters this time...and I dont know who did what...so I will just say what I liked/didnt like...

I did like the dueling woodens...and the little Leprechaun Charm over the paths in the Irish section. I also liked the spiral in the Sicilian section.

I liked all the water rides...the log flume was cool, the rapids, and Leviathon.

I thought some of the bldgs were just way too enormous though...the Kriti boat tours, Leviathon, and the bldg in the spooky kind of section.

What I always like about Mike and Micks parks tho...is that you can allow peeps in and the park is fully operational. I know not many people care about that...but I think its an additional challenge to the parkmaker and these two pulled this off too...

Great runnerup...good job to both of you...

I'll get around to the other parks soon enough...

I looked at MLF...I must say, I am dissapointed. It was good, but nothing sensational. There were some sections I enjoyed, but for the most part, it was quite boring. Too many filler trees.

Cascades was good, but waaay too much filler. I would have loved it had it not been for the huge parking lot, trees, and lake.

Dez-Morais was very good. Although it isn't anything special, I enjoyed looking at it. Good coasters, and good ideas (I loved Ultimatum!).

Tinted Shores could have been spectacular, but was way too small. Maybe Flame could make a bigger and better Tinted Shores 2...

Hoosier was good for a park that's been in the making for around 9 months...

Europa was great! I loved every bit of it. Sad to see you go Nic!

Wasn't a good round for runner-ups, but Xanfia made it worthwhile.

I've only looked at the LL parks (rct2 is saved for weekends lol), but here's what i think.

Nic, you did a great job on Tanzania. I like it so much! Damn fine landscaping :) Definitely your crowning achievement. It's a shame you're not carrying on :( Had some good times...

Xanfia is fantastic! Exile is just a shadow compared to this. I like all the coasters (except the channelwood one.....could have had some more overground inversions...) and the theming is excellent. I'd suggest naming everything (gah) and maybe explaining about that portal into the park ;) But great rides and, my favourite thing, great tree-ing!

Well Done both these Runner-Ups. I'll be back at the weekend with the rct2 parks.

Ok...general consensus - I want to do a TS2 with a larger map, but I don't know if you guys would like it. I mean, TS is going off originality, as it's a new idea. But will it have as much kick if it's done again? I'm not sure what way to go with this, and I'm trying to think of some new original ideas for a park, but, since ppl seem to like TS, but everyone's complaining it's too small (irsi must not like midgets either ;) ), maybe I should do a bigger version of it. So what u guys think? I shold start discrimination charges on irsi for discriminating against small parks. I didn't know that 100X100 was small ???

(Thanx Butterfinger, power to the short parks! lol)
  • Butterfinger%s's Photo
Well yeah, of course 100x100 is small in comparison with all these other giant parks this round. About doing another TS park........ ehhhhhh, bad idea. The creative idea has all ready been used up, it wouldnt be creative the second time around. I think you should use your energy to come up with ANOTHER creative idea and make a bigger park out of IT.

I edited my former post in this thread, so now EVERYONES review is up............ I.E., whoever didnt get a review from me before should go check it out now

the stand-up and the spiral coaster in mikes park were actually decent...

This has kind of inspired me. A lot of good stuff at once... You never know, I might just finish my current "project" and release it in the near future as a tribute to being a Runner-Up. Good Job on MLF, I had been waiting for that for months, and as for Nic's park, I congratulate you, it was wonderful. All the other parks were just so much inspiration, it almost makes me want to wake up again and plop that little disk in my computer labeled: "RCT."

Myths, Legends and Folklore- Incredible. I've never seen an RCT2 park like this, except for Euroscape and maybe Fantastic Wonders. The archy is absolutely wonderful, and the theming is alright. The things that the park are based on are very cool...whoever thought of this idea is a genius. Congrats Mike and Mick.

Cascades- Not bad. I thought it was rather bare, but a good park considering that its sboarders retiring park. The theming was the only downside, with the archy being great and detailed. Congrats to you, and good luck later, sboarder.

Dez-Moraiz- My second favorite this round. It creates such a great atmosphere, just like Busch Gardens. The coasters are so realistic, you'd almost be able to ride them, and enjoy the experience. The triple interlocking corkscrew is very cool lookin too. I love your archy and theming, it just reminds me so much of BGW. Congrats, Junya Boy.

Tinted Shores- Amazing color. Good archy. Theming is freakin repetitive. Still, its a good park according to color and neatness...so congrats to you Flame, and I hope to see more of you in the future.

Six Flags Hoosier Station- I didn't really enjoy this one quite as much as the others, due to the fact that its so realistic. I couldn't stand looking at it and seeing a true Six Flags park, because thats so bland. However, you made the atmosphere of a Six Flags park perfectly, so kudos to you.

I am angry because I can't view the LL parks, so yeah. I'll tell you what I think of those later.

That was the great thing about this park, nobody can figure out who did what. It made the park a lot more exciting to work on as we worked off of one another every couple of days. It all blended together so well.

I like to give credit where it is due and Mike came up with this fantastic idea (MLF) to work with. Congrats to Mike for coming up with this superb idea.

Hey Butter thanks for the praise, it is tough work to build larger parks and I can only imagine about making a 256x256. Lots of time. Mike and I don't like to add to much archy and rides all over the place, it seemed to get too clutter somtimes and then you always miss out on all of the pure essence of what was actually built. Plus parks always have millions of trees and they added to the scenery IMO. Thanks.

Hey Turtleman, I thought I was one of the only people who would of thought of M[I]LF, nice one ;)

Thanks for all of the great comments guys, if feels good to know that people like this park so much.

Myths, Legends & Folklore is very impressive :) I really like the Rheinland area - especially Werewolf (nice layout) and the little well in the village! I love little details like that. I also liked the Watery area a lot...more than Sicilia, truth be told, which I found a bit garish. The architecture was very pretty, though. Overall, a nice park with some shining moments (Werewolf, irish pub, Sword & Stone building) yet some less pretty parts (treed surroundings, buildings with a lot less detail than most). I liked it though, so Well Done :)

Cascades was also really beautiful. The entrance architecture was indeed very cool - especially the overhangs and balconies. I liked Leviathan's layout a lot, too, and the sparse theming. I wasn't too keen on Villein and it's surroundings.....too bare without being bare for the theme! Overall great park to Retire on, but i'll keep hoping that you make Odysse too :D

I'll try and fit in the other three parks over the rest of the weekend.

Myths, Legends and Folklore- You guys already know what I think about this park. I wrote a little review in the MLF thread.

Cascades- Not a bad retirement park at all. I really liked the coasters. However, the theming and other rides weren't quite up to par. Its too bad though that you stopped making parks, because I do like 'em. :D My favorite coaster was M Y T H.

Dez-Moraiz- I really liked most of the coasters in this park. The two I didn't like were the hacked ones. I loved the realism in your coasters. I feel that you achieve what I strive for. I didn't like the archy or theming though, there wasn't much of it, and what there was, could have been much better.

Tinted Shores- WHOAH! Where are my sunglasses?! Very nice park. As mentioned, a little small though. I really liked your style, but would prefer a little darker park...

Myths, Legends and Folklore- Incredible. I've never seen an RCT2 park like this, ...whoever thought of this idea is a genius.

Thanks, that would be me, but the idea has been done before (Legends, Legends West). ;)

I can only imagine about making a 256x256.  Lots of time.

Sounds like a new challenge for us! :D

I was so happy when I found out Cascades was even a Runner-Up. I started it when RCT2 First came out, so I didn't use any additional scenery like I would have wanted to. I was originally not even going to put trees surrounding the park in, because I liked the feeling of having a 256 X 256 park with a lot of space to work with, so I ended up trying hard to make it into a realistic park. In the end, I thinki t turned out quite nice and I have to say I am very proud of what it has accomplished.

As for the other parks, it was fun to look at MLF with all the great support ideas, archy, and ride designs, I really enjoyed it. The other park's were fun to "walk around in" as well, and I am proud to finally be recognized in some way. Thanks NE!

ok im very late but here are my reviews....

MLF - awsome park the dueling woodies where awsome (but dont stand up to mine in Project-28 stats or rateing wise  but you do have me with the theme ) i relly liked the path layouts and archy it was grate my only real beef was the steel coasters i think that flyer was dull and the stand up odd but thats all on the bad list

SFHS - i did not urge titan to send this park in i just gave his iris'is E-mail address but i would have if he did not plan too send it. I saw this park at its half way point and if you saw that and then this you can really see titan imporve.the best thing to me in this park was Pyro and he used custom supports (well kind'of) and the woodie and batman areas were awsome.btw i almost got to theme the rapids ride in this park (marshy did it) but was offline oh well.

Tiented shores - id say this may be my fav. of the bunch the archy was awsome i liked it alot.

Dez-Moraiz - another park i saw half done same has with titan you got much better lol awsome coasters man

Cascade - good job a 256x256 pulled off is very hard but you did it well

Xanfia - i dont remember much but that hack with the steel coaster track was awsome

Eropia - all around awsome park grate job

ok thats all now go ahead and flame my spelling :'(

Thx to the few who have things to say about Tinted Shores

Mantis, I'm still waiting for what you think!
