"If ever I had a paranormal experience of my own, it was creating Mountain Beach. I was so into RCT/CF that designs for many of the attractions in Mountain Beach came to me in flashes of inspiration. I remember just seeing Mountain Chase in my mind. The station, the drop, the high speed turn-around and then the duels. I could not build it fast enough. My heart would pound as I went from idea to idea as the park started to come together. This process carried on throughout the park's creation. I had the most fun possible from a computer game experience while constructing Mountain Beach. Open it and enjoy your experience. I actually really enjoyed this. Mala has a way of just throwing lots of ideas down and seeing what sticks, and as a result, ends up with some beautiful and original architectural pieces that I haven't seen elsewhere. It feels like an accidental, sort of organic composure that defies the odds to actually look good surprisingly often, despite doing so much stuff that i would never consider aesthetically pleasing at all. you could make a nice 'little things' in this park, of small bits where atmosphere and imagination really sell the park. maybe if i was less lazy
Mountain Chase is so ridiculous it pretty much carries the park on its own. Ridge Runner is also totally insane but I don't like it as much. The resort at the end is great though. I don't think this would light any fires today but I could totally see this taking the scene by storm in late 2000, almost certainly a solid NE spotlight.
