It's done!
This is my first release in many years, and one I am very proud of when compared to my prior work. Special thanks to all who supported me through this project, and very special thanks to ][ntamin for the excellent logo!
Warbird Cove/Essex Naval Museum essentially arose from me seeing boat day and thinking; I wonder if this could be done on a larger scale.
The final product features numerous ships including the USS Essex herself and the USS Olympia nuclear submarine, plus a decently sized amusement park themed to the aircraft of the United States Navy, with a couple of British names tossed in.

The eurofighter is indeed inspired by Louis; but it is slightly different in layout (more similar to the one at the Mall of America).
I'm glad you noticed the shadows and enjoyed the small details of the port, etc - I would be flattered if you stole an idea from me, though I'm probably not the first to have done it!
I echo what Lagom said. This was a great little park, but the surroundings held it back a bit. Cool boats, and very great garden-like feel. I felt like I was back in Battery Park in NY, only with more emphasis on naval history.

Just came across this, I really like it! The huge scale is great, I love how expansive the park is. The ships and planes feel massive, in a good way.
My favorite part is the overall concept though. Naval parks and whatnot area always cool, and this is something I could definitely see existing irl. Good job. Excited to see what comes next from you.

RCTNW was one of my favorites; so I hope to be able to pull off more stuff inspired by his in the future.

Although I cant see this in game. I really like what you did. The USS Essex is very impressive along with the concept.
The only thing I would have done differently would be to have placed the Essex at the end of the pier with a clear sight-line from the park entrance to the end of the pier to pull the guests to the star of the park being the USS Essex. You could then make the pier a bit wider and add another support ship along with the sub on either side of the park.
Again, being a former navy guy myself, I really like what I see. Well done!
I think you're right; as I kept working on the park, I found that the layout and positioning of certain elements was a little off. I wanted to add another supporting ship but I ran into some issues that I really could have worked out if I gave it a chance. I learned a lot about composition and other things in the course of this park, and I really hope that I can apply the advice here to future projects.
